Good afternoon. Order date 8/21/21. Order accept date 8/23/21. 2021 Rapid Red Premium Ext Range, AWD. Changed by Ford to a 2022 model in early October. Still no production date showing, order accepted is the status, headed for 5 months currently. Few times I have called Ford to check with them and have provided the sales and order code info, they have given me nothing beyond what I see online. I knew there would be a wait but is this "normal”. Thanks

Yes, normal. My order (placed in March) was accepted by Ford 04/28/21 (the 2nd day GT orders opened) and my first production email was 10/25 for 11/01 week. Then another email on 11/01 moving it to 11/22 week. You should be getting something soon.

Edit: keep trying to call Ford. Depends on who you get on the phone at that time and what info they are willing to give. They have the info, just need to extract it.

BTW, you can make changes to your order up UNTIL you get a production date assigned. Once that happens, it's locked in and nothing can be changed ... no matter how trivial.

Check with your dealer about the priority code

Orders that were transitioned from '21 to '22 needed to be reconfirmed by the dealer. If they didnt reconfirm the order it will be sitting at 99 priority code (hold -- do not build)

I ordered 08/17 and received my scheduling email christmas eve, but it took my dealer 3 weeks to reconfirm my order

Thank you, I have reached out to my dealer because I called Ford today and what she told me was status still shows processing but that I absolutley should have had at least a VIN number by now and she pointed to the dealer as where I need to engage with, again because she clearly pointed at the dealer. Very frustating to say the least, but a call back into my dealer.

I ordered my Premium Extended Range AWD on 10/30. Dealer text me my VIN and build date of 1/31 about 4 or 5 weeks after I ordered.

Thanks. I purposely went with a larger, Phoenix area dealer for my order, but I am questioning the wisdom of that decision at the moment.

See, here is an example of why customers get frustrated. I ordered the same thing as you did, 30 days earlier, and of this date - nothing.

I totally get that. I’d be frustrated as well. I’m sure you’ll get some news soon. Have you tried contacting your dealer?

Important to note that this user is in Canada, and it seems like a couple other Canadian users also got a quicker turnaround. I would guess that this particular instance is because of the location of the order, but it's certainly valid to be frustrated anyway.

Yes, indeed. So far I have noted that the priority order is:
  1. Non-US orders
  2. GT & GT PE
  3. ZEV states
Certainly did not expect to be first in line, because there are other priorities, but over three months with ne feedback at all? It would be nice if a customer could look up where they are in the queue - how many ahead? At least at the DMV, they tell you that...

I totally feel you. Ordered 8/12, from the biggest ZEV state, originally a Premium order but changed to a GTPE and still…crickets. No build week or VIN or anything. Beginning to feel like something must be wrong with my order?

What is the best phone number to call for Ford to find out anything about our orders?

800-334-4375 You need the order code and sales code for them to look it up. The sales order number does not help them. Yuor dealer can provide these 2 pieces of information.
