I changed my order from a Ca R 1 to a Premium back in October. The Ca R 1 was built in January and should be appearing at the dealership soon. No word yet on scheduling for the Premium.

I don’t care for the Ca R 1 black interior or black wheels, but love the slightly better range. It could make a difference for a drive I take fairly often. On the Premium I like the better sound system, the acoustic glass windows (no more) , the hands free lift gate (no more). What else would I miss? What to do?

You would miss out on the Premium features like the power liftgate, projector headlights, signature lighting, ambient interior lighting, heated seats/steering wheel (optional on 22 CA Rt1 I think), 19 inch Premium wheels, perforated ActiveX seating, front grill applique painted black and 4 way adjustable head restraints.

The heated seats/steering wheel are standard on the '22 CARt1 and I don't think the Premium has a black front grill applique. Otherwise I think your list is correct and inclusive if the previously mentioned upgraded stereo system is included.

The applique is the black trim here:
Premium is painted and smooth

When I ordered, I had a hard time deciding between the CARt1 and Premium. I ended up going with the CARt1 mainly due to the little bit of extra range and slightly lower cost. The additional features on the Premium just weren't enough for me to outweigh those two factors. I liked the seats in the Premium better and the improved sound system. But when I test drove a Select, that was on the lot, I didn't mind the seats in person as much as I thought I would based on pictures. I like the appearance of the Premium wheels better, but range and efficiency is more important to me. Plus ride comfort should be slightly better on the 18s vs 19s. Power litigate (with or without the kick sensor) isn't a factor for me. If I could have added a package on the CARt1 with the light gray seats and improved sound system for $1,000 to $1,500 my decision would have been easy.

How random that you can't get the power liftgate on the CRt1 when you can on the Select (with the Comfort/Tech package).

Anyone have experience with the relative comfort of the seats in the two trims? The CR1 would have heated seats but only a manual passenger seat adjustment. Could be the deal-breaker as I’m likely to be the passenger when I let DH drive my car. I’ve only driven a Premium. I haven’t sat in or seen a CR1 in person.

I test drove a Premium and bought the CR1. I don't remember much difference between the seats.

I have a bad back from an accident as a teen; most vehicle seats are uncomfortable to me.
For me the CR1 seats are comfortable enough not to notice them for an entire 1100 mile roundtrip road trip a few weeks ago. My partner and I switched off driving, and neither seat was uncomfortable.

This is off topic, but I am new to this forum. I started a conversation regarding May Production. The only person I knew to send it to was Ford motor Company? How can I make it so anybody can see my question. I ordered premium RWD ER on 1/26/22. Thanks!
P.S Ford responded!!

Welcome,
Everyone can see what you replied above.

The only way to not have it be public is if it's in a 'Conversation' which is private between those invited persons (hover over their name and select 'Start Conversation').

How do I make it public?
