Driver’s door failure

In the last two days we have had an interesting problem:

1. Vehicle locked in garage
2. Approach vehicle get welcome mat and driver’s door button illuminates
3. Door will not open when touching button
4. All other doors work fine
5. When using either key fob (we have two) to unlock, door will open
6. Currently have OTA 2.71

Any ideas?

Might be because you’re in the update cycle, it may fix itself with the rest of the updates coming out quickly.

Have you had the 21P22 updates done?

No, all updates have been OTA, currently on 2.71. Received 2-3 just recently

If you open the rear driver door - then try the front door, does it open?

Yes, that’s the weird thing. All other doors work on first try.

There was a known issue with this symptom that was fixed in one of the updates in 21P22. Not all of those updates have rolled out OTA.

I had that issue with my lift gate and I just had 21P22 installed today and it’s working again. @generaltso, could you please run my vin to see if they applied all of what that update was supposed to be applied to?

I had that issue once and disconnecting the 12v battery fixed it.
