After the most recent wave of updates (2.8.2/2.8.3) I've been noticing that the connected nav has been suggesting really bad routes.

The biggest thing I've noticed is it seems to like to avoid the interstate. Instead it will take side roads that take significantly longer. Almost as if it's trying to avoid an accident on the freeway that doesn't exist. It didn't used to do that, and no settings have changed. Just to be sure I've checked that is set to find the fastest route (as opposed to most eco friendly) and I've also checked that is not set to avoid highways.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Mine had really bad GPS for about a day sometime after receiving 2.8.3. I didn't use the Nav during that time, but pretty much guarantee it would have been atrocious at routing.
It cleared up for me within a day or two. How long has yours been happening?

Since I got 2.8.3 on Tuesday

Edit: on Wednesday night, I did notice that it gave me a good route after toggling the "avoid highways" setting on and off.. but then it just went right back to bad routes the next time I used it

Do you have Eco-route selected in the guidance preferences?

I noticed that mine is giving me some really questionable charger options - like aLevel 2 at a community college instead of available EA’s along the highway. Just been lately. The FordPass app seems to be behaving normally , just the car getting weird.

Twice, at the same EA station in Yreka, CA I set routes. One route to the next EA station to the North, and one to the South. Both times the Nav threw me routes that went to another shopping center, around that center, then back to the EA station. ???

Well it was worth asking.

Two months ago while driving my eldest back to college using Eco-Route, we encountered this spectacular routing:

I just chalked it up to Eco-Route.
That's quite the back road adventure!

Yes and he was driving Dad's new car:eek:
All wheel drive, not all terrain drive!
Are the charging companies paying the map companies to route there now?

I understand that the navigation is Garmin. I have had Garmin dash mounted GPS's make some really questionable routing recommendations, fire roads in western VA and Maine.

The weird thing to me is it used to be fine. Just this last week it's terrible. It's acting like it's set to avoid highways

I noticed the same thing. Just drove 1,600kms (1,000 miles) in Ontario and Quebec and it suggested a few weird ones.
