BlueCruise going out OTA to regular plebs (non-EA owners)!

Had anyone who received BlueCruise via these updates had it not work occasionally?

I drive the same 2 highways back and forth to work, both are blue zones. Most of the time blue cruise activates and works great, but some times when I turn cruise control on (with lane centering on already) BlueCruise hands free just doesn’t kick in. The screen never goes blue and it never says hands free.

For example, Monday I drove to work and BlueCruise worked great. Monday night going home it would not go blue. Tuesday on the drive in same thing, would not go blue and no hands free. On Tuesday afternoon I went out for a drive to test and it activated first try and went hands free. It also worked correctly on the drive home Tuesday. Then Wednesday on the way in it was back to not working again. I even tried pulling over on the drive in and restarting the car, no luck.

Lane centering with hands free is enabled, and I have a expiration date of October for the BlueCruise map.

Up until recently it worked 95% of drives. This weeks it’s been more 50/50.

Mine has been really bad this week also. The gps cut all together yesterday. Today it was 50/50. Blue cruise worked for a while then cut out for a while. I wonder if we had a big solar flare or something like that might mess with it.

Interesting, I don’t use the built in GPS but next time blue cruise isn’t working I’ll have to check it. Does yours not work for an entire drive, but then the next drive it does?

Yes that has been happening this week.
Curious that you don't use the built-in gps. I was under the impression that you had to use it for Blue cruise to work. I know that when my GPS quits working so does the blue cruise. How are you getting it to work

Interesting, I wonder if gps is the cause.
You definitely don’t have to use the built in nav for BlueCruise to work, I only use CarPlay and it normally works.
It makes sense that it would use the gps to determine if you are in a blue zone.

I will try it with Android Auto and see if that makes a difference.

Last week was horrible for me, I'm so glad I'm not the only one facing this issue. It's super hit-or-miss right now. It would activate 99% of the time when it first installed.

The next test I am going to run is to turn on the BlueCruise alerts in settings to see if it alerts when I get on a highway and then if it activates after that. If it alerts and then doesn’t activate then the problem is not because it doesn’t know it’s in a blue zone. If it doesn’t alert then I know why it’s not activating.

Tried it and it's hardly notifying me. When it does notify, I'll activate BlueCruise and it still only shows the normal adaptive cruise.... Ugh

Ford needs to push their programmers. I think there are people on this forum that could do a beter job.

Damn, that was my last thought. I wish Ford had a way to report bugs like this.

Used BC for the first time over the weekend on a mini road trip up to St Augustine, Fl on I-4 and I-95. Wife was a bit freaked out as I expected so I turned it off going thru Orlando! Seemed to work better on I-4, kept dropping out on I-95 north of Daytona. Had to take evasive action due to a Truck Tire that went airborne but overall good experience!

Is the OTA rollout still happening? On 2.7.4 since June 21st, nothing since then.
