Just used the ford.com chat feature (despite me being Canadian) and they gave me my railcar number when the .ca one told me they did not have the information! Yeah!! KCS 008278

I got a chat agent this morning that was able to confirm my railcar KCS008366. Presently sitting at the CBP yard in Laredo, TX awaiting clearance prior to moving toward KC!! One country closer!!! Ford Canada really does need to step it up to provide a similar level of service for Canadians.

Just did the Ford chat, agent said my car was at a “hand off” location in Laredo TX and waiting for pickup. She said it has been there since 6/28, car was built on 6/24. So I know it at least moved, let’s see how long it takes to get to NJ from TX.

Do you guys get different (better) shipping info from your dealer? My dealer is pretty terrible and communication has been almost non existent. I reached out to my salesperson and informed him my car was built, shipped, and my estimated shipping date was 8/23-8/29. The only response I received 2 days later was “we show the same info”.

My dealer has not been helpful at all. I always know more and earlier than he does. But then again, he hasn't been obsessively waiting on his car for 9 months like I have been.

Slight update: I spoke to Ford Chat and they said that my car "has been released from the factory to a carrier and is awaiting shipment". Since my window sticker says Convoy (and since mine didn't get put on a rail car despite being built for a week and half), I asked if that meant that it would skip the rail altogether and go straight from the factory via truck to CA. She said that was possible (which seems pretty inefficient to me, I'm about 11 hours closer to KC by road as Cuautitlan), and estimated it would ship "in the next two weeks".

My status was " has been released from the factory to a carrier and is awaiting shipment" on Sunday and the Shipped on Monday - Your should be shipped soon (tomorrow)
My is CONVOY as well- Southern California - ETA is 8/2-8/8.
We should be on the same truck /train.
Please keep me update as well.

I haven’t had any status updates since last Tuesday when my car arrived in Laredo. Anyone have any idea if there are more updates when it departs Laredo before getting to KC? Or does it just magically pop up at the next terminal? Thursday marks two weeks since it shipped.

Ford chat. I had to ask for location and rail car number.

Same here, although there is no rail number of anything, they don’t know how it got there how do you track further i wonder with no rail number available and not seeing anything either in ordertrack site

There is a rail number but you have to get lucky with the customer service rep for them to give it to you. That said, my railcar # has been utterly useless as CSX keeps telling me my car was delivered to Chicago in December.

As I understand it, CSX won't be able to track the car until they have it in their possession. I don't think CSX does shipping from Mexico City. I think (but I'm not sure) that our batch is being shipped by Kansas City Southern, and they don't seem to provide any tracking services that we can use. Once they hand the railcars off to the next carrier in KC, then we should be able to track them from there.
