What was the problem with Carvana?

I was told that they are having a problem with obtaining titles and paying off cars buyers are not getting their titles etc....

Interesting, I have my Mach E submitted with them, just submitted loan info yesterday, they didn't say anything about loan issues yet.

I reappraised multiple times because everytime I hit pickup date I have a seller recourse and I cancel but I think this time will be it, I have a Premium on order, couldn't change to GT without losing price protection but I think I'll take the newer car with new updates and better hardware.

I concur. I got a ridiculously good offer from Carmax for my GT that beat Carvana by $4k. And the drop off process with payment (check in hand) took about 30 minutes. Give them a try.

Carmax gave me the best offer - probably because I bought it from them. Driveway matched it so I didn't have to leave my house. The check hit my account the day they got the title. It did take them two weeks to pick up the car so it was in the way for awhile.

do you have positive equity meaning will you get more than what you owe for the car? keep in mind that if you have positive equity you technically have to pay tax on the profit.

This makes no sense, it doe snot matter what you owe on your car, this would only hold true if you made more than you paid for the car originally. I paid cash for my car, and that money I put into it was already taxed as income. If I sell it for the same amount I paid for it, plus sales taxes and fees, I would owe no taxes on the transaction.

Got $70k. ?. My dealer was at $64k, Carvana was at $66k. The Carmax process was super easy, professional and seamless.

Sold our Honda Civic for the Mach E with Driveway. They brought all the paperwork pre-filled out, took 15 minutes and then they drove off with the car. Got the money within 2 business days. Easiest transaction I’ve ever had and I’ve sold a lot of cars privately.

Never heard of Carvana not paying the seller. They wire you the money bascially a day or two after you drop it off for inspection (or they pick it up). I sold my RAV4 Prime to them without issue.

Title issues for buyers I’ve heard of. Carvana has been late delivery titles.

Anyhow, Carvana doesn’t seem to be overpaying for cars anymore so I’d look elsewhere.

Driveway is under the ownership umbrella of now Chinese owned, JD Power Corporation. They are not going out of business soon so you can feel comfortable dealing with them.
Our dealer matched the highest offer of the ones we got from Carvana, Driveway, Vroom, KBB, and CarGurus.
$59,900 for our 21 First Edition on June 1st. We get a sales tax credit for the amount of the trade so we only pay the difference in Florida. Our New GT is great as well.
