It's official, my car has been delivered to the dealer!

Hoping to be able to pick it up tomorrow and crossing my fingers the deal goes smoothly. My original sales person left the company and the person who took it over is on vacation but assures me everything is ready to go.

I'm so jealous! I'm getting anxious and having more and more trouble waiting and staying patient.

Last update a few days ago was my car had been loaded on a train and departed Muncie, KS. Today I called the Union Pacific number to do a trace and this time it came back as nothing could be found for my railcar #. Not sure what to make of that

My car has a delivery window of 7/26 - 8/1, and it looks like it'll make it! The railcar is currently in Mira Loma, and my dealer said that it should be ready for pickup this weekend. Technically, it's the tail end of the delivery window, but who's counting at this point?!?

You would think that but don’t be too certain. My car arrived at the rail yard and was offloaded a week ago Monday. It’s been sitting there since. Ford had updated our delivery to yesterday but then pushed it by another week to next Wednesday on the outside of the date range. The car literally made it thousands of miles/kilometres in less time than it’s sat waiting for its last 20 miles to the dealership.

Mine just arrived at the railyard as well! At least I am leaving today for a week and won't be here, to the frustration of it not being trucked to my dealer won't be as bad. Fingers crossed that its not too long!

I think I have seen different reports on delays after the railcar reaches the distribution points. I think I was fortunate because my railcar reached Mira Loma on Monday, and it was unloaded yesterday (Wednesday). Now, I'm just waiting for it to get delivered to my dealer.

Nice. Are you also batch 6619 headed to SoCal? Which dealer? We may by railcar buddies.

My dealer also didn’t know the car was there, I started the buy online but the rate was different so I hit finish up at dealer. Dealer sales person sent me a generic email like he was responding to an online inquiry. They didn’t have the financing information that Ford.com supposedly sent them, and he didn’t know about Options. His credit app link didn’t work so I had to fill one out manually. I should have just taken the 3.9% and did everything online, this is a shit show.

Had a similar experience. We go through filling out all the information, but it does not look like they sent the dealer the info.

Yea, of course the salesman I was dealing with is off today and so is the finance guy. Wonder how this place sells a car on the lot when the 1 finance guy is off.

I'm even more jealous! My car is still "awaiting shipment" in Mexico according to Ford, no updates of any kind since July 4.

I clicked on the "Complete Purchase" and filled out the financing information figuring it would give the dealer a head start on the paperwork before I arrived. Just got an email from them that the car I applied for financing on isn't for sale and is a customer order (me, I'm the customer) ?. At least I know they aren't trying to sell it to anyone else!

Guess I'll keep waiting for them to call me to come in when they're done inspecting and detailing it.

Not sure if it's the same thing, but I was able to track my train car yesterday up through Actual Placement, but when I checked this morning, there was no update. I think that means that it went through the UNLD and RMTY stages already.

Latest status is the railcar is in Kent. Next step is the unload at Orillia. Two other MMEs heading to my dealer have been waiting at Orillia since 7/22. Hopefully I can catch the same truck as them tomorrow.

Got this from another thread for those tracking Norfolk southern

“Actual Placement of Car" is one of the final Norfolk Southern steps, meaning it has been placed at the facility for unloading. Next steps are "Unloading", followed by "Released Empty" (the railcar is completely unloaded, empty, and being sent back to Kansas City). Once these final steps are done my MME will be ready to be put on a car carrier and driven to the dealership.”

Right now I’m on the actual placement of car stage.

Reached out to the dealer for an update as Ford Chat had no change in status since departed Muncie, KS on July 18, and Union Pacific could not trace the railcar #. The dealer didn't provide any specifics about where it's at, or its last checkpoint, but instead said it is now expected to be delivered the week of August 10th. Ugh...

Also seems odd to say 'the week of August 10th' as that is a Wednesday.
