It's slated to arrive with the working frunk button: the first month with two full moons and a lunar eclipse.
Wow we made it to post 28 before someone mentioned the Frunk. ?

I just came from a freaking Fiesta ST and its climate controls made more sense than the MME.

Like, why there are 3 "auto" settings? If I set it to auto, I just want it to keep the temperature I set. If it's far away from the target blow the fans and AC at 100%. Reduce speed and power as you get closer to the target. Not that complicated!

I like the 3 Auto settings. I don't like the blasting air, like some people, so I usually put it on Auto Low.

I don't like blasting air either, but if it's 100F in the cabin I like that even less.
That's not the point. You asked why there are three Auto settings. You want it blasting, I don't. There is your answer.

I am so freaking excited about this update. The notes make it sound like they added a heat button on the main screen!

I just went out to the car and nothing appears to be different. I think the update has not fully applied in my car because the update "check" has not appeared. But I did get the FP notice. When I drive home later, maybe it will show up.

I want a heat button!
My check mark didn’t show either. I rebooted the screen because waze wasn’t working correctly and when it came back on the check mark appeared.

I just drove home from dinner at my father in-law's house. No check mark. But the car refused to select my profile, or any profile other than Guest. I guess that is the new feature. Not what I was hoping for. ?

My Job 1 2021 got it today. Kind of freaked me out as right after I started driving the sync reset like 3 times making the screen go black and got a very different UI.

now can I please get my frunk Release button now.

Ok, you just triggered my frunk button alert I have set whenever there’s a mention of the frunk button. Sadly, false alarm ???

AC has been on my main screen since at least 3.5.2 (maybe earlier?).

I find the MME's climate controls really confusing and awkward. I don't know why AC gets a place on the main screen while e-heat is only on the climate screen. E-heat almost always seems to be on by default, even when it's like 80 degrees outside. I'm not even sure why it's not just called "heat"? I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't understand the "Front" heading at the top of the climate screen. Is there a separate screen that I haven't found for "Rear"? I don't understand why "Auto" (on the main screen) cycles through three settings, but will not cycle to "off" even though "off" is possible. The seat heater has three heat settings and even has the traditional three little "lights" below the seat icon, but pressing it produces a clumsy slider rather than just cycling through the settings. The temperature adjuster also gives you a slider, but it seems way harder to use compared to just tapping the + or - buttons a few times. Touchscreen sliders seem pretty awkward for these applications. Anyway, I'm sure there's logic behind all of these but I don't find them intuitive at all. As the "gadget guy" in our house, it's pretty embarrassing trying to make sense of these for my wife.
I hate the sliders so much, the screen is too laggy to pull them off effectively.

December 31, 2028. Mark my words.

That is the date of a Blue Moon (second full moon in a calendar month) and the date of a total lunar eclipse. This will happen! :p

AC has been on my 22 since I took delivery in April.

Really shows how terrible they are at software and getting updates out. They can’t mock Tesla until this is figured out.

The reason release notes regurgitate old features is because the updates are basically nothing.
