Hmm, haven't got this one queued up yet, I'm actually losing track with all these 4 decimal updates lol
1. I wonder what happened to 3.5.4.1? Hmm? Important to know! :p
2. 3.5.4.2.6 might be next.
3. Ford missed a golden opportunity to impress us all. What happened to PowerUp 3.1.459?

The only real way to impress me is to replace my HVBJB before it craps out on me. call me crazy but I don’t like Russian roulette.

You’ll be waiting a long time.
First Ford in 30 years and will be my last just because of that. No way to treat a paying customer.

I am trucking the car to Florida for the winter and it will be my only transportation down there. If bricked I will really be at their mercy at an unknown dealer Without any backup cars like I do at home.

pathetic

There are other cars available on the market. If the somewhat unlikely possibility of a motor failure angers or concerns you to the extent that it overshadows everything else about the car. It might be time to consider moving on. Besides, this is actually a thread about the latest PowerUp update currently being released to early access owners.

There is a button for that. Turn off "Automatic Updates" and then it will ask you each time.
It used to look like this, where the only choice was "Accept" ....

But now it looks like this, where you can say "Not Now".
Unfortunately it doesn't make the little icon at the top left go away. Been there for a week and a half now. I am hoping this OTA times out soon and just disappears. Finders crossed.
Yes, I did that - turned off "Automatic Updates" before that switch disappeared/changed. FordPass still begs me to accept the next update, probably forever, but I can ignore that.

Since nothing appears broken for me today, I plan to avoid updates until something worthwhile comes along. Maybe in about a year...

I use a ton of nav as well. Do you find the "Recent" choice useful? I use that one all the time and it has reduced the need for me to safe too many places. I still do it, just not as often as I used to in my previous vehicle.
The "Saved Place" was initially prominently featured but it vanished during subsequent OTAs ... and now it is restored again! ... Yes I find it very useful specially after reaching a destination I use the"saved" feature to store if for future. The trick is that on the destination detail screen you have to press the "STAR" icon ...I don't know how to explain it in detail but play with it and you will get it. Also the "Create New Trip Plan" has improved tremendously, my searches now are mostly positives ... before the Nav wouldn't recognize any destinations ... not even street addresses !!! The Garmin(?) nav is pretty good now days, it is steady. so I don't fumble with the Car Play anymore. I am wondering if any of Glonass sats helps here in Western hemisphere, I also wonder if the Mach-e's in China relies on Glonass for navigation, but for years tourists couldn't bring a portable GPS device into China. The range has now become more predictive too... good job Ford !!!

Just received this morning, nothing noticeable. I checked FDRS yesterday and had no available updates after doing the TCU update myself a couple of weeks ago.

I wonder if this is prepping for the UI overhaul or BC 1.2?!?!

The "SAVED PLACE" tab is restored after you click "Where to?" ... at least on mine it was prominently featured when I got the the car but it vanished during subsequent OTA's ... but now it is back again, and all my previously saved places has been preserved.

Less likely to happen than a flat tire, especially if you’ve got the software update. I don’t worry about things like that, but just prepare if they do happen.

Love people complaining about updates but refusing to install updates that could fix issues. Maybe just stay away from technology.

BeiDou is used in China. It's a government requirement.

100%, I mean the car is a large portion modern tech, cutting edge stuff, yesterday I drove to work in the dark, a drizzle, on highway, had Auto lights, auto screen dimming, auto wipers, auto climate control/seat heater/wheel, bluecruise driving, the car was automatically rerouting me around traffic without asking, and then I used hands free alexa to call someone. That is A LOT of tech, and the best way to interact with tech is take all the updates as soon as offered, and install them at a convenient time, spend 5min in the car after an update to check settings, explore new features, and move on. Its like your work laptop, dont install the 25 updates at the start of jam packed day, do it when you have min and be patient. And if Paak gives you trouble delete your phone, clear the app and start new.
