Hi All,

How can I find out the resell value of a Mach-E? Does anyone have numbers on what the resell you can get on CarMax and those types of websites?

They all vary so you need to just go through the appraisal on each website. You’ll get different numbers from the same company depending on where you live - the EV market in Portland is better than others so I can get more money here. It will also vary greatly by the trim, year, miles, etc.

1. As already noted every market has own specific. So check usual web based dealers like carvana and etc. My personal experience that Carfax quotes are not accurate.
2. The used car market is soft right now and change every week.

The auto plex, containing the Ford dealer I bought the MME from, actually gave me the best price. I posted the MME on Facebook marketplace and the dealership messaged me with a price I couldn't refuse. They indicated they watch Facebook marketplace and Craigslist because they are looking for used cars for their lots.

Well don't keep us in suspense. What did you get? What is your trim model and how many miles were on her?

What's the next ride? Staying with an EV?

Why aren't you getting them yourself?

Various sites provide values for SPECIFIC vehicles in SPECIFIC locations. What I get in SE Michigan has zero bearing on what someone gets in Florida.

And, TIMING matters. Last week's value may not be this week's value.

Easiest way is to post it for sale and see what offers you get. I sold mine Saturday and the local dealership was happy to get it back in to their inventory. Carvana offered me $10k less than Ford did, most others were closer to Ford than Carvana. As has been mentioned, it will vary wildly depending on the vehicle condition and location, and it can change frequently.

Very simple ... just go to Ford web, go to their trade in estimator and get a value subject to a final inspection. The advantage of trade in at a dealer where you will be purchasing your next new car, is lower sales tax, you pay only the net value of the new vehicle unless you are in the states where EV's are exempt from sales tax/registration fees, i.e. NJ. Don't take it as the absolute value but use as a base ...sometimes even though dealer's trade in value is lower but at end of the deal your out of pocket cash out could be much lower if your factor in sales tax, financing interests, etc.. PS: Even though 2023 Mach-e does not qualify under the X-Plan but to go to the dealer with an X-Plan voucher and compare the documentation & registration fees, these fees are capped under X-Plan ....tell them you are entitled to X-Plan pricing and use the X-Plan as bargaining tool.
My 2021 RWD Std batt Premium trim Ice Blue w/20K miles came in at about $42K-$49K. Central FL area.

In SOME states, you get a credit for the full price of the trade-in when computing sales tax.
In SOME states, you get a partial credit.
In SOME states, you get NO credit.

Yes ... you are correct! What I am saying is that you have to compare all the factors, not just the trade in value of the car. In my case, I bought mine in May '21 under X-Plan and I did use the Ford credit with balloon final payment, so my out of pocket expenses was truly low.

I think it's fair to say the used car market is softening. But describing the current used car market as soft doesn't seem accurate to me.
I used the term that 4 managers told me at 4 different dealerships. I thought that Mach-E demand would be a little bit better with 2023 coming, but I saw various posts that people witnessed that their trade-ins were sold cheaper than trade price. I personally witnessed same and thought it was just mine situation.

I’ve said this before, and I’m sure I’ll say it again:

The first rule of listening to anything a dealer says is not to listen to anything a dealer says.
