Carvana is desperately trying to not go bankrupt.

For the last few years they significantly overpaid for cars.

Now they’re trying to underpay. We shall see if they lure in enough suckers to stay afloat.

So I just thought this was interesting and decided to post it. Back when I had my previous GT, before upgrading to my GTPE, I had checked with Carvana for a value, which was WAY low (this was in June). But I just got an email from them saying the value went up. Their original quote to me was around the 23k mark. Strikes me as odd given the current market, hence, sharing ?

Caravana bids cratered when they got into trouble. I had a 2017 Volt which I sold a year ago. Their July 22 number was 19700. Their November 23 number was 13000. July 23 - 5900. August 23 - 9100. Currently 8800. Their selling price for my model and mileage is still over 20,000.

Yeah it's ridiculous, definitely not the way to go. When they were offering 23k on my '21 GT I got 47k in trade when I upgraded.
