@njb Did you get yours yet? I see @mcotton is in IL also.
Can we take this over to the appropriate Build Week thread please. @njb already answered this on the 11/14/22 thread. Ideally, this thread is for discussion of VAPOR BLUE. Thank you very much.

Yeah, wrapping the full car is not an inexpensive proposition. Lots of people do a partial wrap and some of those people regret not doing the full thing. One thing to keep in mind with the price is that, apparently, the MachE is a real P.I.T.A. to wrap because of all of the angles - very time intensive.
Can we take this over to the appropriate Build Week thread please. Someone talked about wrapping the MME already. Ideally, this thread is for discussion of VAPOR BLUE, not wrapping MME Thank you very much.

You must have missed this part where I tried to subtly steer the conversation over to the appropriate place...

don't want to thread creep too badly on this topic, here's a thread on the issue in general if we want to keep discussing:

(2) XPEL - PPF - Stealth | MachEforum - Ford Mustang Mach-E Forum, News, Owners, Discussions
But, the question had been asked already, so I answered it.

My new car is Vapor Blue. That is why he asked if I got it yet.

yeah, thanks for the tip! Although pretty sure I won't get the State credit, the income reqs are pretty low, but I'll fill the paperwork. I did get an email a little while ago from Ford asking me to "Complete the Purchase" so I think that means it was shipped to the dealer? I got a ways into the online purchase before getting stalled, I'll chk/w the dealer tomorrow.
My scheduled delivery range was 11/27 - 12/3 and it arrived at the dealer on 12/2. So you should just make it. I am in Southern Illinois just outside of St Louis. It felt good knowing that I would get the full rebate. And don't forget about the application for the Illinois rebate. That's $4000 that you don't want to forget about. You will want to take that paper with you to the dealership because they have to sign part of it.
Hi. I have a Question. I got that email asking me to Complete the Purchase, but it's not at the Dealer. When I look at the status, the "Shipped" bubble is checked, and it's supposed to be in Final Prep (which I thought meant that it was at the dealer being prep'd) but it's not. Here's a screenshot of the status. Notice Shipped does not have a date. Did this happen to you? thanks

That status bar is pretty inaccurate. Mine showed final prep for 5 days before it showed up at the dealership.

So after all the discussion about wrapping...

I love the Vapor Blue (in the pictures.) Personally I wouldn't want to hide it, but I can see the desire to protect it while keeping it visible.

I guess I just think the occasional chip is part of life and generally I have been pretty lucky.

Having said that, I wonder if anyone who knows something about paint, could give an opinion on how easy it would be to fix paint damage, matching the behavior of this color?

Trouble brewing for any area that needs to be repainted?

I don't have mine yet, but I've read the area at the rear doors (where a "handle" would be) should be protected somehow. Passengers have to grab the door to open, over time it'll probably scratch up.

Hey everyone!

I couldn't find a similar thread, so I thought I'd start a new one. If I missed it, my apologies, I'll delete this post and repost in that thread. If I didn't, how do you get that little color wheel icon next to the thread title? :)

I picked up my 2023 Premium EAWD in Vapor Blue Metallic last night and thought I'd share some pics

There‘s a rubber pad inside the door edge where you grab to open it.
