You have to sign forms to give express consent for the advanced data collections. No way to be in it and not know.
I signed the forms. I didn’t know if there was a way to tell if they actually flipped the switch on my car though.

Still very new at this. I have updates scheduled for Late Saturday nights. I looked at the status and it says currently 3.5.4 since late Oct. Was that the last one?

Replacing a tried and true mechanical door handle for the over-engineered and pointless 'open' button is still hands-down the dumbest decision I have ever seen on a vehicle.
Button vs handle has nothing to do with door opening issues. It’s a PAAK problem. Mine has gotten better with latest updates but still not as good as fob.

A lot of my CarPlay issues started with iOS 16. Is anybody on iOS 15 and still experiencing issues?
iOS 15.7.1 no major drop out/disconnect issues in carplay to date. Power up 3.5.4.2.

My car is in the program. They’re getting a bunch of data on CarPlay and more. The problems, in my case, started somewhere around 3.5.x. Prior to that my car was pretty much a poster child for how things should work. There are a ton of variables though to toss in. The iPhone has updated at least twice in that time, and my iPhone 12 Pro Max has a few issues and neither the 13 or 14 offer enough in upgraded features to make me spring for one.
Issues with carplay are? Mine takes time to boot into carplay some times (waking up) but that is all I have noticed. As you note iOS updates etc. all come into play.

If all I had to complain about is the door buttons I would say LG. When asleep mine take two to three presses to open. It sleeps heavy and does not like to be woken up. Kind of like a teenager. If it embarrasses you hit the unlock button a couple of times walking up to it.

I need the departure schedule fixed like yesterday. Just the never ending saga of babysitting that is starting to run me down. The basics @Ford Motor Company before games, Alexa and YouTube pretty please. I have had enough of babying and just want it to work like it should. Thought I have it down pat and all was working then something that was no longer does. My wife told me her scheduling works with roomba so she can not understand why such problems with this car. From the mouths of babes and have to say I can not disagree.

You would have been provided with instructions for going into the bezel diagnostics to download security tokens.
Ahh ok. I figured there would be something that needed to be installed.

First, welcome to the MME! Second, the update schedule only applies to updates that require your car to be off and not drivable. Most updates install in the background while you’re driving. Those will happen whenever Ford pushes them. If it’s an update that requires the car to be off it will notify you in the car and the app that the update will install at your next scheduled time or you can start it manually.
Depending on your schedule I would do it overnight. Any time but midnight.

Anyone notice that their trips' efficiency numbers went completely haywire after the update?

I've been averaging 3.5m/kwh since I've had the vehicle from Jan '21, according to months' long data on Trip 2. It suddenly went down to 2.8 without me resetting it. Trip 1, which is since the last full charge several days ago, also read 3.5 but went to 2.6 immediately after the update. Without driving.

FWIW, it's pretty well documented on this forum that many owners began having reliability problems with both Profiles and Carplay starting with 3.5.3.3 (Youtube) and/or 3.5.4 ("Advanced Dual Bluetooth"). These two updates happened only one week apart for me, so it's difficult to know specifically which one introduced these following regressions --

Profiles: Guest profile is sometimes selected by default, even after successfully using PAAK to access the vehicle. Sometimes it can be manually switched back to my profile using the door button or the touchscreen. Sometimes this does not work. Sometimes a Sync reboot solves it, but the first time this happened to me I had to wait overnight for it to resolve. This problem is happening to me every few days. Previous to 3.5.3.3/3.5.4, I never experienced it. IMHO sometimes it feels like a safety issue. When you get used to 1 pedal driving, It can be a pretty uncomfortable surprise the first time your car coasts when you expect it to decelerate. It's not always super obvious that Guest Profile is active in the beginning of a drive.

Carplay: Wireless connection does not start automatically with very much consistency anymore. I'd say it's successful about 50% of time for me. I can usually get it to work by bringing up the phone list screen and telling it to connect, or by plugging it in with the cable, but both are a PITA. Also, and worse, whenever I drive with my wife (who also has an iPhone that's configured with the car), her phone is selected for Carplay. This happens when I'm driving and even my profile is automatically selected. There used to be an option in the touchscreen UI to designate a "favorite" phone in the phone list UI, tied to the current user profile. This option was removed with the introduction of "advanced dual bluetooth", and now the car has no idea which phone is the driver's.

I do not have 3.6.2 yet, and I'll hold out some hope that all of this is improved. I'm hopeful that Ford will get better at this, but until then I've stopped recommending the car to friends. It's just too much of a mess.

Yep, turns out this update resets driving history, which seems to zero out the efficiency metrics in Trip 1 and 2. So now those values only reflect recent history, as in since the update. Always wondered why Trip 1 and 2 mi./kWh were always the same even though Trip 2 has never been reset and I reset Trip 1 quarterly. Useless info since they are not related to the Trip intervals.

I don't use PAAK. I still frequently have to press the button more than once for the door to open.
