2026 refresh wishlist/design changes

After driving my car for 1.5 years, I am convinced the design choices were made by people with marketing degrees and who had never driven a car...
Feel free to add to the list(These are in no particular order) @Ford Motor Company Pay attention.

1. Drive Modes changes: Eco(green color), Standard(blue color), Sport (Red color), and Track(Black color).
2. Lose the "Ground Speed" on the driver's display, it is dumb, and a waste of pixels.
3. 1PD adjustable levels
4. A backup camera that works... my old chevy cruse had better image quality.
5. A backup camera sprayer, like the front camera has.
6. Place the rear windshield wiper at the top, not the bottom of the rear window.. and give it a blade that actually reaches all the way.
7. Heat-pump technology.
8. 5G radios, nothing says progress like sticking 10 year old LTE technology in a modern car.
9. Faster DCFC, 150 is cool and all, but really need 350+
10. More adjustability for the driver's seats, the knee bolster is non-existent.
11. Heated rear seats.
12. Cooled seats.. They are already perforated
13. Leather option, actual leather, not vinyl...er I mean 'vegan leather'
14. Electric adjustable steering column.
15. Steering wheel heat adjustments
16. Require the dealerships to have more than 1 person trained up on electric vehicles.
17. A more functional cargo cover.
18. More cushioning for the back seats.
19. Tow package option in the US.
20. Door controls from center screen
21. Illuminated door buttons (I part time for Lyft, and have to tell people...every.single.time.)
22. Full car ambient lighting.
23. Last but not least. A functional frunk button for job 1 cars...

the ability to open the doors for people. I understand you can't open the doors fully..

As a pilot for over 50 years, I heartily approve of the use of ground speed terminology. Besides the heritage of the Mustang, it's entirely accurate usage.

As for a frunk release for job 1 cars, I think doing that in 2026 might be a tad late.

Yes, but knowing Ford you’d have to go three taps deep into a menu to access it. Might as well lean over and pull the lever.

Faster charging, cooled seats, and full ambient lighting would be nice upgrades. Not so sure about the other 20.

Oh but yeah, I want that frunk button for J1s sooner than 2026.
