2023 MME: blue cruise not working, maps are up to date

Is Ford extending the BlueCruise subscription for folks as a result of all these issues? Bought my '22 brand new on 12/31 and have yet to experience hands-free Blue Cruise. An extra month of subscription would be a welcome gesture, @Ford Motor Company .

Mines still broken too. I had one rep, when I called in, state that everyone with the issue was getting a free year of BC. Told her I had three years paid for and would like to use it and she said an update would “hopefully come soon, but there was nothing her team [OTA Support] could do.”

The other thing I have noticed on my 23 premium since I got it on 12/19/22 is that the connectivity icon at the top of the screen does not always come on when I start the car. Sometimes I have to cycle the ignition up to 6 times to get it to come on. Have you noticed this on your premium? Service Manager at my dealership has opened a case with Ford engineers but so far no solution. I also have a 22 select MME and this has not happened on it yet; I've been driving it since July 1st, 2022.

I can third this - when the maps updated again I had to pull the fuse again. Glad we found a work around, annoyed that I have to keep a set of plyers in the car for now

I just got 3.5.2 this morning!! BlueCruise updated too!!

good thing I didn’t listen to OTA support. They told me to take my car in if it didn’t update by a few days ago

For those of us who pull fuses, I would recommend tucking a rag or towel along the bottom of the fuse panel so that when a fuse is dropped, it doesn't go into the unknown lol. I will let everyone know what my service manager says about Lee's suggestion.

How do you tell when an update is pushed out? Does it appear in the SYNC about screen or does it show up in Ford Pass? I have a 23 model and have yet to see any updates nor do I know where to look to see what version I have.

It does show in Ford Pass under messages and under vehicle alerts. Also, on the main screen, on the top to the left of the profile you’ll see a down arrow with a checkmark (same symbol as in photo)

I replugged fuse 21, now I can see hands free driving.
As a side effect, however, android auto refused to connect to phone for the first 20 mins, but eventually seems like it worked,

Hello, long time reader, brand new member. We just traded in our 2021 MME Premium RWD for a new 2023 MME Premium AWD Extended Battery. Picked up from dealer on 13 Jan 23. So far have not had Blue Cruise turn on. Maps are updated to the April 2023 date, and also activated through connect services (all though it doesn't show an expiration date yet ). I have seen in a few post there is a 14 day waiting period before it will activate? Issue 2 is that the Mobile Apps is grey'd out and it will not let me turn them on. Is that something new with the new infotainment update? Any help the community can provide will be great, thanks!

Try pulling fuse 21 and reinserting it after 10 minutes

Mine is the same. It's my understanding the version of the software shipped with the 23s has the all the updates with the exception of the persistent camera button. I'm hoping they will push out an update that will give us this feature. So far I have not received any updates other than the 2 hands free Blue Cruise maps.

I turned off the car. You should note the direction the fuse is in before you remove it. Fuse 21 is located in a slightly awkward position to pull and it could be easy to drop. Place a towel below to catch it in the event you drop it.

Car off when pulling fuses. Always. Don't drop it either.

I have a problem now, that sometimes even on a highway sometimes I don't see lane sense icon green. Same highway I was doing blue cruise a couple of hours ago. I was thinking maybe the sensors was not clean, but it was no rain this time.
