I got my 2023 MME GT two weeks ago, but have never seen hands off driving icon coming up. I have a 10 mls piece of interstate I've been trying it on.
I thought dealer did not update my maps, as suggested in other threads, but if I check general/about hands free maps subscription shows good till 10/6/2023.
Is there an online map somewhere I can check , that my piece of interstate supports blue cruise?
What else can I check?

Same issue on my ‘23. Maps are up to date. I live about an hour from the nearest BC-enabled highway but finally got out there a couple days ago to try it, expecting to see a transition to Hands-Free. It did not. Will try pulling the 21 fuse before I give it another shot.

Blue Cruise hands free was working in our ‘23 MME Premium until the middle of last week. I used hands free going to the movie theater then on the way home it never switched from hands on wheel mode to hands free.

Over the weekend I tried to activate it on a few routes where I know it worked. No hands free.

I followed the suggestion above to pull fuse #21 from the fuse panel in the passenger’s foot-well.

Be sure not to drop the small Micro 3 blade 7.5 amp fuse as it will fall down a crevice to never see the light of day again. Don’t ask me how I know this, but if you need replacements, I found these at Advanced Auto Parts

After replacing the fuse, I took the MME for a short drive on the freeway and Blue Cruise Hands-Free lit right up.

Thank you to everyone who helped figure this out. Hopefully @Ford Motor Company will find a solution to the Gateway module locking up.

I am curious, is that a bug that you have to pull the fuse to enable BC?
Or it is just a shortcut, it should enable itself sometime eventually?

I’m guessing, but I think the gateway module gets hung after some time. Once that happens Blue Cruise hands-free won’t enable.

Pulling the fuse resets the Gateway module and gets things working again.

Regardless the module shouldn’t end up in a hung state.

If they did a master reset when you bought the car, there is a 14 day hold on Blue Cruise...that was what I was told by Ford. Same thing happened with mine. Also make sure you have it enabled in the settings. They told me I had to have the Blue Cruise prompt activated too. Not sure if that is correct, I haven't tried turning it off.

Once my maps updated to the April expiration date, I pulled fuse 21 and it worked for several days. I took one of my friends on a drive to show him how it worked and HFBC did not work. Got home and checked my map expiration date and it now showed June 10, 2023 as my expiration date. I pulled fuse 21 again. Went to the interstate and HFBC worked again and has been working for over a week now. Not sure if it was a coincidence or not; I'm just sharing what happened to me lol.

The exact same thing happened to me on my 2023 Mach-e. I had to pull fuse 21 to get HFBC working for the first time after the April map update showed up. A week or so later HFBC stopped working and I noticed a June map update had been installed. I pulled fuse 21 again and HFBC starting working again.

Is Ford extending the BlueCruise subscription for folks as a result of all these issues? Bought my '22 brand new on 12/31 and have yet to experience hands-free Blue Cruise. An extra month of subscription would be a welcome gesture, @Ford Motor Company .

The other thing I have noticed on my 23 premium since I got it on 12/19/22 is that the connectivity icon at the top of the screen does not always come on when I start the car. Sometimes I have to cycle the ignition up to 6 times to get it to come on. Have you noticed this on your premium? Service Manager at my dealership has opened a case with Ford engineers but so far no solution. I also have a 22 select MME and this has not happened on it yet; I've been driving it since July 1st, 2022.

Tell your service manager to do this SSM: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/ssm-51228-inoperative-fordpass-remote-features.23858/

My connectivity icon does not come on all the time as well. Keep us posted if the proposed fix solves this. I’m hesitant to bring my car back to the dealer unless I know there is a known solution. My dealer doesn’t have loaners or a shuttle, so I have an out of pocket expense for any visit.
