For those who lost who picked up our 2023 MMEs, I'm curious what your SYNC version is. It appears we are already behind, or at least I am. Mine is:

SYNC 4 Software Version: 22280_PRODUCT

Revision: 592

Revision 640 is getting pushed to 21s and 22s. 23 owners, what version do you have, and did you get any updates yet?

Our 23 has 592. I think the only visible difference is that we don't have the camera button on the top row. We also have the extra BlueCruise 1.2 settings but that's probably a software configuration flag (aka 640 should also have those settings on a 23). Of course there could be other bug fixes, etc that are not obvious/visible.

No idea when we'll get the update, but having owned a 22 GT prior to upgrading (we wanted magneride and the "fixed" HVBJB; BC 1.2 and the tax credit were bonuses), my advice is to not hold your breath waiting. Updates will come when Ford deems us worthy and not before, unfortunately.

I think you'll find that all 2023 MMEs on the road today have the same Sync version and haven't gotten any OTA updates yet.

Thanks for the info. Really just wanted to make sure I am not somehow behind other 23s.

Which screen indicates your BlueCruise v1.2 capabilities are enabled? Reason I'm asking is because I believe its still an open question as to whether BC 1.2 requires a hardware revision, or is purely a software enhancement.

This couldn't be more true.

@Warp Asylum : Is the Magneride worth the upgrade from the GT to the GTPE?

To my knowledge, outside of the optional (and cosmetic) Nite Pony package, there are no hardware changes from late MY22 (/w updated HVBJB) to MY23, so I share the majority opinion that it should be possible to enable BC 1.2 in software for older cars. Whether or not Ford will enable it is anyone's guess, though they have inferred in the past that MY21/22 will eventually get it. No concrete statements though, and they were pretty careful in their wording when they announced that BC 1.2 would be on MY23's.

I don't think there's any explicit screen that says "BlueCruise version: 1.2", "BlueCruise 1.2 enabled" or similar, but the difference can be seen in the Adaptive Cruise Control settings. MY23's have at least two additional settings to enable/disable In Lane Repositioning and Lane Change Assist plus some extra verbiage in the Predictive Speed Assist description about slowing down when it predicts a curve.

@Warp Asylum : Is the Magneride worth the upgrade from the GT to the GTPE?
In my opinion and my wife's opinion, yes. We drove our 22 GT for ~7k miles and have ~2k miles on our 23 GTPE now, and we both feel like it has a smoother ride. Is it night and day different? I would say no, it's still a pretty stiff/sporty suspension (especially in Unbridle) compared to a luxury/touring vehicle type suspension. But it smooths it out just enough that it doesn't feel as jarring as the GT did, so for us it was worth it. And the difference seems to primarily be at freeway speeds. City streets at low speeds feel mostly the same to us. That said, if we were 20 years younger then we probably wouldn't care.

We lost some money trading in the 22, but the tax credit helped to soften that blow so we were ok with it. If our 23 hadn't shown up until January, it would've been a tougher decision that I'd rather not think about. :)

I have the same version an have not received any OTA updates other than the two hands-free map updates.

I do have a question for all you 23 owners about CarPlay and Apple Music. This is off thread, but I'm assuming most of us have 23s. Does a shortcut list of the letters of the alphabet appear to the right of the list of songs/and albums? The iPhone version of Apple Music has this and other Mach-E owners say it appears in CarPlay. I was wondering if it's a bug on our build of the software or a bug introduced after they made the CarPlay portion larger on the screen.

I've attached an image below to show mine does not have the vertical alphabet on the right. It's supposed to offer a way to skip ahead in the list without having to scroll the entire list. And yes, I know my iPhone has a strange collection of artists. In a former life I selected songs for commercials.

Do you know how to make the smaller boxes at the bottom bigger on the main screen. Like the phone, radio, trip. On my 21 and 22 there was a spot in the upper right hand corner to make the main screen smaller and the boxes bigger. But my 23 I can't find how to do it or even if you can. It was so convenient to see what radio station I have on and how much further I have to go when I'm travelling somewhere.

They removed that ability in the new UI, so those tiles are always the small size now. There's quite a lot of discussion about it in the various 4.1.2 threads.
