Departure times in FordPass app not working

Those that say it works from the app or it always works if you set it in the car must not use it very often or have different software than me. Set a departure time in the car today, saved it, it was there, shut the car off, open the door, restarted and guess what it was gone schedule was clean. Car problem not an app problem here.

Just the opposite in my case, with app ver 4.23.1. Been using departure times all week as set in the car and working well, but can't make any changes in app that take in the car.

Once it takes you setting it in the car you are good it just does not do that all the time. I have random departures and no set schedule so I set it on the fly all the time. One departure at a time. Try setting it to different times in the car a few times and see if it works every time.

Setting departure times in the car works more often than not, though sometimes I get the exact behavior you described. The other day I set an 8am departure for the next morning. I saved, exited, and then triple checked everything. The next morning at 8am, the car was ice cold. Preconditioning never started. I'd say it works 4 out of 5 times setting in car.

The app adds another level of complexity and yes something may further hamper the schedule being transferred to the car using the app but the car does not accept the schedule and store it all the time here.

Been down this road once before for the first 5 months of ownership. The car would charge to 100% as soon as plugged in. Schedule set here and at the dealers but did not work. It may hold once in a blue moon but would always trip and charge to 100% , then I got it to charge to 80% and hold for a bit. But only for a bit and the next morning it would be at 100%. Dealer told me not to worry about it and just charge it to 100% all the time that is not a problem it will be fine. Not living with that so I educated him about 100% SOC (mine sits a lot), peak electrical $ and I go out in the dark to plug in off peak. Kept on him and the SOBDMC module was replace and has not been a problem since works great. I was the only one having that problem but it appears for departure I am not alone (hoping).

I will go with SOBDMC module firm/software update when I brought it into the dealers this fall and everything was updated (including the sobdmc) since it was stuck and it was not doing it OTA.

For me the dealer has yet to acknowledge this problem but I trashed 2 cell phones from the car (android and I) after it was in. Dealer did the exact same thing he did with the charging schedule and notes nothing about it which is starting to wear on me. He will keep his eyes open for a TSB. I pushed the charging schedule more than this departure one to date. Last winter departure scheduling worked and it was with this new SOBDMC installed. I have only had the BECM and HVJB replace since. So I am going with software on this one and dealing with another winter of BS. The S is getting smaller and I rather use brute force preconditioning than a 12V charger 24/7. I am seeing the fourth winter as smooth sailing ...... fingers crossed.

Do not know if you have eyes on your vehicle and care more about the batteries than your bum but if you note it does not kick on (recirc pump hum) this could help link. Gets cold sometimes up here . Remote start still working here.

I have deleted and added departure times multiple times and I still have this issue. I set the departure times in the car. One for 6:10 AM Monday through Friday and one for 4:05 PM Monday through Friday. The morning one works every time when plugged in and when unplugged. The afternoon schedule never works. I can not plug in at work. Until 6-8 weeks ago I never had an issue with either. I can not pinpoint when the afternoon stopped working. I do have "allow to start when unplugged" turned on. Any ideas? Thanks.

This is hugely frustrating and kills functionality (and range) in cold weather climates, not to mention going against Ford's own recommendations. If someone from Ford is listening, Fix. Your. App!

It is crazy that this still isn't working.

For whatever reason departure times are working as scheduled now. I was finally able to get the car and Ford pass to agree on the schedule. Time will tell if this continues to be the case.

Now you have that one working change it up and see how that goes.
