We came out of a restaurant tonight and i noticed this message on my phone. Never heard the alarm go off but the car was 100 feet away outside the restaurant. There was no evidence of tampering when we got back to it. What does it mean that it detected vehicle inclination. It was on pretty flat ground in a parking lot.

Vehicle Inclination - as in being lifted for a tow or to take a wheel or maybe even to steal your catalytic converter

I would just chalk it up as another Mach-E annoyance. You probably got the alert 30 minutes after the alarm went off anyway.

The car thought someone was trying to jack your wheels. Maybe it was right?

Thanks but there was no evidence anyone had touched the car, very odd

That was a change in height on a side. I've swapped wheels and tires -- talk about a pain in the ass. Keeps auto locking, jack it up honk honk honk.

Someone could have sat on a front fender, or another car backed into it. With no damage someone who knows how it works might have assholio triggered it.

It’s a bug that happens from time to time apparently. There are a few reports on the forums.

Likewise for this god awful Steeda sway bar I’m cursed with loving… Pulled the tires and endlinks and same… Autolock, honk… Jack. Honk honk honk. P*s and moan, unlock, open door, throw in keys and apologize to wife who comes running down thinking the car squished me.

Unlock the vehicle and then throw the keys on the seat.

Or, if you're like me...

1. Start jacking up one corner.
2. Alarm goes off *oh crap keys aren't on me*
3. Run inside, find keys.
4. Run back outside.
5. Press "lock" button
6. Press "lock" button
7. Press "lock" button. *That's right, it's the unlock button*
8. Press "unlock" button.
9. Throw keys on seat.
10. Wave to neighbors who have assembled in court.

So if you have a tire issue and a local shop jacks up one tire to look at it and the car is unlocked the alarm will go off?

why would any alarm go off if car is unlocked? I know that was a stupid question !

Has this been happening to other Fords besides the MME?

It won’t if it’s unlocked. But a lot of people use walk-away lock, so the car locks itself. This is one of the many reasons I don’t use walk-away lock. My car only locks when I want it to.

It goes off if the car is locked and it senses inclination. My F150 is the same.

There’s a bulletin for this issue, you need to update your door modules. The current software can randomly cause the alarm to activate. I’ve had the same happen to me.
