Getting these put on my Mach E since I had a blow out on My Continental DWS 06 right rear. They were almost at treadwear anyway. Wasn't real happy with the range reduction of those tires

Hey All,
Last night I found an amazing deal with Walmart, tires were for $175 each! I ordered them but now I’m wondering if they are virtually the same tire that is being talked about here or if it’s different. It has a T rating, so it’s not V or H. I don’t ever plan on driving above highway speed limits…

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hankook-...-225-55R19-103T/2839386593?from=searchResults

looks like the price went back up… but just wanted to make sure I still ordered the correct tires? I don’t see “XL” written. Not sure what the IH01A means.

also anyone recommend where I get them installed and mounted? If I want wheel alignment done, should I just take them to the ford dealership?

The part number from the Walmart site (1033186) matches the tires I got from Discount Tire. I think those are the correct tire. If you look at the specs listed on the Walmart site it says 'V' rating.

So my tires arrived and service department is putting them on. May get the car today but most likely tomorrow. I'm interested to do a straight comparison of these to the Continentals for range as well as what the stock tires were when I first got the car. I'll update as soon as I do a week's worth of commuting.

How are the tires running? Notice any change in noise, vibrations, or range?

Tires are a lot quieter than the Continentals. My radio is at 7 instead of 10 now. No vibrations and grip seems really good. Little early on range still but I'm getting around 2.8 to 3.0 now at 55 degrees where it was 2.6 on the Continentals.

Personally I think it may take months to determine if range is impacted, unless the difference is significant. The variations in temperature and driving conditions in general could be a much bigger factor, especially since we are moving into consistently warmer days. But it is encouraging that your initial observations are in the right direction.

I don't disagree but the conditions are the same as when I had the continentals. Now, I need more time to compare to the OEM's. Right now it's hard to say if it's the same or better. I was getting 3.1 on the OEM's in the summer

Looking forward to what you find out. I am going to be replacing my tires in a few months, and these are under consideration. As are the Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season Plus Elec tires.

I will say that the ride and quietness is much better than both the OEM and the Continental DWS

Thanks all! I got the tires (loved that Walmart $175 deal!!) and will have them installed this week. Does anyone recommend getting wheel alignment done after the new tire installation? I put on 46k on the oem tires.

if so, where do you recommend the alignment to be done? I called one dealership they quoted $500 for Mach e allignment claiming it is a special alignment that will take 5 hours… 2 other dealerships said they can do it and all vehicle alignments are $150, they didn’t say Mach e requires anything extra or is different price.

anyone have experience with this?
I’m thinking to get the tires installed at somewhere like americas tires and then drive over to ford for alignment.

You probably don't need an alignment unless you hit something, your steering wheel is not centered, or you have abnormal tire wear. Instead of getting quotes on the phone, ask in person if you can get a free alignment check? They will have a printout of your alignment to see if one is needed.

When you install new tires, they will balance the tires. Get it installed at America's Tire/Discount Tire so you can get free balance and rotations.

@Triggerhappy007 thanks for the recognition! Absolutely we will install tires and guarantee the balance and rotate for free for the life of the tires. We also honor a Low Price Promise. If a competitor has a lower price we would adjust accordingly.?

Agree with @Triggerhappy007 that you might not need alignment. If you do not know what to look for, have the tire shop that is replacing the tires examine the old tires for abnormal wear (feathering, cupping, excessive inboard or outboard wear, etc.). Take note of what’s oddball about the wear. Give that information to the alignment shop so that way they know what to do (a car can be within factory spec and still wear the tires funny). ??

Hey All,

I got the tires installed earlier this week. I love these tires, they are noticeably quieter, a little less vibration. I’m not sure I like this quieter because I now hear more of the wind and electric whine which is annoying haha. But I still welcome it!

I do notice a range improvement of more than 5%. I’ve tested via several commutes where normally (under same weather/temp, time of day with wind - conditions) a round trip commute would take 30% charge in the stock Michelin primacy tires, these hankooks take 28%. But with this all said, range can change over the regular wear of the tires. The 30% I’m comparing to is when I had my Michelins primacy tires at 1/32 or 2/32 in tread depth…

So far no real complaints. I love them.
Thanks all for the advice on wheel alignment. I’m very happy so far I found this tire recommendation on these forums.
