SSM 51618 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E, 2022-2023 F-150 Lightning - Exterior Charge Status Indicator Not Illuminating Blue Charging Segments After An OTA Update
Some 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E, 2022-2023 F-150 Lightning vehicles may experience an exterior charge status indicator not illuminating the blue charging segments after an over the air (OTA) update. Confirm if the Charge Port Light toggle button is not present in the center display screen by selecting Vehicle Icon> Controls> Access> Charge Port Light toggle button, as this button has been removed after OTA update. Replacing the charge port and/or the battery charger control module (BCCM) is not recommended. This condition does not affect charge behavior and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in September 2023. Monitor OASIS for additional information.
----End SSM----
Since Ford removed this feature, there's no way to turn the charge port indicator lights back on if they were previously off. I guess you'll have to live with no charge port lights for the next five months.
