Adaptive cruise w/o blue cruise

Hi since I tried to get my blue cruise to work for last year at different dealerships still NOT working. So my question is how can I get just adaptive cruise which can center the lane and keep distance (everything blue cruise does but with hands on). Job 1 use to have that but since blue cruise update can't get to follow the lane centering.

You don't have to "do" anything assuming you have lane centering enabled in the Driver Assistance section, when you activate cruise control it automatically does lane centering.

The only other thing that could be turning it off is the button on the steering wheel that looks like a line between two dashed lines. That can disable lane centering while leaving adaptive cruise and all that.

Those are the only two items I can think of that might be turned off after they tried the updates. It seems like the steering wheel button is the most common thing I see people do and not realize what that button turns on/off.

I tried doing that, blue cruise not available comes up and it does keep distance from in car in front but does not keep lane. I can see green line on side.

That likely indicates that you don't have lines on both sides of the vehicle. If there isn't a line on the right side, it won't hold the lane.

A while back, a lot of dealers were messing up the updates that enabled BlueCruise and were leaving cars in a state where lane centering didn't work anymore. Perhaps you're lucky enough to be in that boat?

I'm definitely on that boat tried 3 different dealer in NJ but no luck. They changed the eye tracker but still no go. I'll be fine with just adaptive with hands on.

So odd, I see the service write up on 8/7, and you had some faults in memory, but right now no fault codes at all.

When you go to connected services on Owner.ford.com, does it show an active BlueCruise subscription? I am wondering since it wasn't working before if it just hasn't activated yet. I know for some that had it done by the dealer it took up to a month. Still don't know why your lane centering wouldn't be working, but other than taking it back to the dealer I don't know much else to try unfortunately.

Thanks for looking up. All updates been coming in and no problem with anything else even my PAAK works great just this BC. Any particular module I can ask dealer to reflash or update for lane keeping or maybe front facing camera replacement. Something that will fix lane keeping i think that might be the reason for BC not working.

Have you tried to open a case with Ford Corporate? Not sure they can do anything on their end, but I’m sure they can slap the dealership into fixing it.

FYI, I had this exact issue last year and Ford had to send a field engineer to the dealer fix it. I was even told by a Ford engineer that the dealer would have no way of detecting the issue.

Get a case opened.

Lie to Ford and even tell them you will be happy to pay $800 per year to use Blue Cruise, that should get you some priority.

Check your settings for Lane keeping. If it's just on alert, it won't assist.

I have a case open @Ford Motor Company and they are just advising me to keep in touch with dealer like they know what they are doing. Last dealer 8 days and was told all good picked up and nothing changed.
