MachE used cars value really tanked this much?

I’ve decided to put my car up for sale. So I started asking dealers what my trade in value would be. This is in the Bay Area of California. A few dealerships said they were not taking mache because well used ones are just not selling.

the car is a 2022 mache GT with a mere 6,000 miles.

Vroom - $24,000
Driveway - $34,452

Dealer where I bought car - $44,000

Anyone sold a low mileage GT? Are these truly how much the mache used market has gone to? A $20,000 less in value. GTs sold for around $63,000 new.

Cars sales are down and inventory is piling up in general. Selling prices are definitely down, but dealers are also trying to lowball offers to get higher margins. Carmax has 2 GT's for sale, a '23 with 1k for $56k, and a '21 with 21k for $46k. Guessing they would sell yours for somewhere in between those figures.

At the height of the insanity the Machs, like mine, that I paid $45000 for were going for $69000. Select , standard range ...USED . GTs were in the 90s.
I desperately wanted to cash in on it but had no backup vehicle and I wasn't about to pay a dealer markup ( gouging ) .

If you trade it in for another Ford, the dealer does have a $1000 Trade in Assist cash offer.

I used it when I got my '23 MME - traded in my '22 Lightning.

Got $1000 more than the highest nearby dealer offer by using the $1000 trade in cash bonus.

We sold our 21 premium 4EX to our local Ford dealer for $50k but that was 9 months ago! Carvana is still sending offers for it but the latest one was only for $25k!!

Your problem here is selling a 1-yr old vehicle with 6,000 miles. You're always going to take a big hit selling so early.

June '23, my '22 Lightning was traded in as 1 year old with 10,500 miles.

I got $66K trade with a sticker of $67K.

I also got the $7500 tax credit refunded and $2000 state rebate so I made money on mine.

Your problem here is selling a 1-yr old vehicle with 6,000 miles. You're always going to take a big hit selling so early.

We sold our 2021 at a year old with just under 10,000 miles. Got thousands more than we paid. The issue now is what others have said, the market is way down. Not that it's a year old vehicle with 6,000 miles.

think I'll be lucky to get 37-39k for my Premium 4X with 20k miles. Good thing I don't have a reason to upgrade since the newer ones have less features. The zero percent interest is tempting, but not sure if that would be beneficial financially for me since I already had a pretty low interest rate.

Less features? I have been looking to purchase a used 22-23 Mach-e premium or GT (Northern CA) and am curious what you are referring to? This will help to know what to look for. Thank you.

No Park Assist which means no side sensors for manual parking, no acoustic glass on front driver/passenger windows, no kick to open liftgate

(unless these were put back in, I haven't been paying too much close attention, but these features were deleted a while back)

Awesome, thank you for the information. Until now, I assumed I should avoid 21's but perhaps not.
