At this point I'm curious whether the next OTA update or the fix for the latest HVBJB recall will come in for my vehicle first. Also have to get a blown speaker replaced so maybe at some point all of this can just get done by the dealer.

Not very pleased with the Ford ownership experience so far.
You have a blown speaker and that is making your OE so poor?

Ford recommended the entire wiring harness to the IPMI and all the cameras be replaced in my MME because the front camera and right front sensor keep failing and shutting down cruise control, lane centering and BlueCruise. Pre-collision fails several times a day, randomly. This means removing the interior from the MME to access the entire harness. Seats, carpet, console and dash all need to come out.

And the HVBJB recall letter just arrived a few days ago. So the battery needs to come out.

I figure they will have the car for a week or more.

You have my sympathy. Trust me I know what it’s like.

A few weeks after I got my MME this past summer, someone hit me pulling out of a parking spot. It took the Ford body shop two months before all the parts finally came in to replace the various self driving/safety sensors.

At this point I almost want to ditch the car but its value took a big hit that seemed to coincide with the Tesla charger plug announcement.

That explains the disappointment.

I guess we don't have it too bad. I know a Tesla owner that had his car in the shop for 8 months after a motor controller failed. It too 7 months to get the parts and 1 month to get it a tech to the shop to put them in.

But I digress. Back to Program Stuck.

Answer: your car is still prepping. You can't rush the prepping. If you do, the prepping won't be sufficient. So just relax. Your car is prepping.

Then my car should get 1.3 because I have a working remote frunk release on my 2021 Premium.
I assume this is a joke, I don’t want to go back and read 21 pages.

The reason I say this is I took my car in recently for another HVBJB replacement and noticed I had a remote frunk button in FP that works. It’s been a while since I’ve actually been in FP so I haven’t noticed this for a month or so. I did receive 6.1 sometime in October, maybe came that way? Or dealer did it…..

Mine started working after my MME received a small update in August. HVAC or Charging update if I recall.

My 2022 Select is updated through 6.6.0 (installed this afternoon), including the original release of 6.2.0. My 2023 Premium is at 6.1.0 (since mid-October).

Company is always nice around Christmas time. 6.1 October 14 and holding steady. Next they will install software to crap out your L2 charging and tell you it is now operating as designed. Best of the season from Ford to all their early EV adopters. ;)

I think misery also likes company LOL! With Ford's history, I expect the worst and hope for the best.

Been stuck on 6.1 since early October. 21 Premium Job 2 in EA.

Just got to work and noticed it was downloading a power up date for "better diagnostics".

Just got a seemingly un-numbered update installed.

Yep, just got that too. Update has no identifier at all, but the notes make me think this update is to fix whatever was causing the update issue.
