I suggest that if this is true it was from an earlier update. I don't think Ford uses the driver facing camera to monitor lane location (unless they are watching for side-eye angst of drivers during right-drift).

It’s just so incredibly dumb to have a car icon that does nothing in the middle of the screen when in unbridled and no driver assist features enabled, which is how I drive 80% of the time. I can’t stop thinking about how useless that lame icon is the whole time I’m driving.

I'm with you. I think user interface (UI) displays are a weak area within the larger software development industry. I see so much wasted space, poor layout design, icon placement, etc. Fortunately, we can send feedback directly to Ford.

My GT does not have BC or the driver facing camera. I am soooo glad because I would absolutely hate, hate the eye nanny. Hate!

I also have the metal roof which I also really appreciate, especially in the winter.

No, it was still doing that to me this morning, just like it does almost every day. This camera just looks at your face, not the road.

Yep. No glass! It is also insulated, and really cuts down on e-heat use.

I use ACC as much as I can so I never really noticed this but yah, when disengaged, having the static car icon is yet another stupid GUI design choice. I'd really love to sit down with whoever makes these choices to try an understand their logic.

Don’t think this was intentional or had logic. Seems clearly like a bug they didn’t catch.

The mirror folding getting turned off isn't even that big of a deal. Literally took me one minute to fix. People are way too sensitive. Don't update your car if it bothers you something might change.

This is the biggest batch of OTA updates Ford has ever done, and other than going slow it hasn't really been that bad in the grand scheme of things. There are bound to be a few glitches since basically every module in your car is getting reprogrammed in steps.

Don't mind the mirror, but now Paak isn't working. Grr.

Just finished this update. I think we are pretty close to BC 1.3.. here’s why.

The blue cruise animation feels different, and when I use my turn signal it doesn’t knock it out of “Hands Free”

I didn't know they had a metal one.

I think they stopped making metal roof as an option in 22 for the GT. Along with removing the BC hardware.
So for the 23 I have you had to get the glass roof and BC etc. No choice.
