Ford overbuilt most Steelers have 40 to 50 of these cars on their lots. And all the people that were going to buy them have bought them nobody really wants them which is sad for all of us.

try Carmax if you have them we’re your from. I sold them my 2019 Escape for what I paid for it after two years.

That is Way better than mine 2022 GTPE with 12K miles showroom condition new tires and 38K is the best I can get trade in.

I got a really good deal on my GTPE in June, 9k off MSRP, 63k, it's worth 42k now. Good thing I love it and plan on keeping it a couple years.

It's not just EVs, the used car market is plummeting (well correcting actually) right now.

Just 6 months ago, I was able to trade in my '22 Lightning at MSRP (what I paid) as a trade for my '23 Mach E that I ordered 14 months ago...

Guess I was lucky to have gotten so much out of my 1 year old, 10,000 mile EV truck ?

BTW the dealer flipped the truck 4 days later for $6K more than what he paid on mine...

When I got my 2022 mach e I sold my Edge Sport on the used car market and got more for it then I paid for it !
but......I could afford milk and bread back then too !

Had a guy come up to me in the parking lot the other day and held his hand up with 4 fingers and said I need 4 dollars. That's the first time the amount was specified, we were close to a liquor store though! ?

Not sure why you are surprised, I can get a brand new one at my local dealer for $42,545, this includes the current tax credit figured in.

Same ol story. When there is a shortage, the price goes up. When there is a surplus, the price goes down. The problem is that the trade-in price drops more than the new car price. Dealers like to play the Auction price game. I am so sick of hearing that same old line. I politely tell them that I will pay the auction price for the new car then.

The pandemic screwed up the supply chain, thereby making new cars harder to make due to scarcity of parts, hence used car values went up. Supply chain is pretty much fixed. Used car prices have adjusted to the market as new cars are now becoming abundant.
