Going a bit further “off topic” then, it seems that we, in the US speak “ye olde English” and the people in Britain speak “Modern English”. It turns out the same is true between the Portuguese spoken in Brazil and Continental Portuguese. They use some older forms and words in Brazilian Portuguese (in addition to the introduction of words of African and native South American decent).Yup. There was a shift in pronunciation in England in the wake of the Industrial Revolution as many working class people became wealthy. They introduced more nonrhotic elements to the language ultimately resulting in the type of accent we associate with the greater London area. Prior to then both the American and English upper classes spoke with rhotic elements (pronouncing the “r” in hard, park, etc). That was the initial diversion.
Or so I’ve read anyway. My mother and her family were/are all Scottish. Why Americans talked so odd always mildly interested me.![]()
I’m assuming you’ll be going to your dealer. Let us know the outcome!Fallas! I searched for this post to get a feedback as I was going to use mine for the first time. I was even going to brag about it having a 10 ft power cord and attachments for smaller tires or air mattresses. But no! My story ends up horrible. I've deflated the tire considerably because I intended to use the embed sealant. I was tired of adding air everyday because of a leak.
It was going fine until the gauge jump from 70 to 100 psi. Followed by a noise as if it was asking for help and then - smoke. Thanks God I was paying attention and if was not sitting inside the trunk. See images below.

Take it all in to the dealer and get it replaced — presuming your car is still under warranty.Fallas! I searched for this post to get a feedback as I was going to use mine for the first time. Yeah, there are a myriad of variations in English English as well. Let alone adding in the the numerous variations spoken in Wales, Scotland, and Ireland ?? . It’s a wonder the English language functions at all. As proof: My paternal grandfather was from Cornwall and spoke a variety of Cockney labor class English and whatever variety of English was spoken in Drumheller, Alberta at the time. His wife arrived from Russia as a very small child and didn’t learn English until she was in grade School. My mother was from Scotland. It’s a wonder anyone could understand each other.Going a bit further “off topic” then, it seems that we, in the US speak “ye olde English” and the people in Britain speak “Modern English”. I actually called FORD after my post and after explaining 3x why I was calling and verirying my identity, milage and if I needed roadside assistance...Uff! The guy said the same thing - to take it to where I bought the car. Sadly I'm not planning another trip to FL until my daughter gets a long weekend holiday. I'm going to try my luck locally.I’m assuming you’ll be going to your dealer. Let us know the outcome!

Any dealer should be able to replace it under warranty.I actually called FORD after my post and after explaining 3x why I was calling and verirying my identity, milage and if I needed roadside assistance...Uff! Actually, I’d think any dealer would be able to handle it (hopefully under warranty!)I actually called FORD after my post and after explaining 3x why I was calling and verirying my identity, milage and if I needed roadside assistance...Uff! I miss the nice big cards on “old Sync” ?
That was before my time! ?I miss the nice big cards on “old Sync” ?
I agree with what the others said: if the kit's compressor has failed, it should be replaced under warranty by any Ford dealer in the U.S.Fallas!
