Perfection is cost prohibitive. Agreed. But the current "acceptable" rate of failure is clearly costing Ford a significantly higher amount given warrantee-covered repairs vs simply having spent marginally more for hardware that was properly spec'ed given realistic performance demands.If you want zero failures ,or close to it, cars would cost as much as planes. Be careful what you wish for.
