I adjust my seat first. Leg distance to the pedals. Then the height. At 5’ 10’’ the seat is all the way down. Then I adjust the wheel so I can see the speedo, and be comfortable at the same time. Why is this so hard?

at 5'10", it's no problem.

try sliding the seat back as far as it goes as you might if you have really long legs. can you still see the whole cluster width ?

how many students do you have that are 6'4" ? or have a 36"+ inseam ?
The students are mostly 15-17 years old. With that being said, I have a true cross-section of sizes with one of them being close to 7 feet tall in the stretch of owning this car. While that size is rare, it is not unusual to have a student that is taller than I am.

All I am saying is that I have had no one mention that they could not see the speedometer.

Yes. But I can’t reach the pedals.
....I'm just pointing out so you can understand how some (long legged people) actually cannot see the full width of the screen because the steering wheel cannot be moved fore-aft to provide unobstructed field of view.

....or, you need to wear platform shoes ? ;)

That is just it. Ford should have designed a car that you didn't need to drive in an uncomfortable position to see what should have been seen before adjusting it away from a preferred position.

It has been well established on this thread that one CAN do many things to see the speedometer.

Now all we need is a speedometer position that we can see w/o standing on our head. :p

I totally understand. I just haven’t been able to reproduce the result.

I don't know how far over the speedo moved, I turned off auto-update long ago.... still running sync 4.3.4 with no surprises.

my speedo is still in the middle, unless I happen to use cruise control. I just know that in my preferred seat position, I cannot see the full width of the display area.

No. Lane centering works on about 1/3 of the roads here. That means all flavors of BlueCruise won't work on 2/3 of the roads. And this is not a unique problem.
you must have especially bad rides, I'd estimate lane centering works on
This thread seems silly. We rarely use BC, but the speed showing on the right is not troublesome at all.
it's another thing to complain about......................

I don’t think anything comes in Infinite Blue any more.
Not at Ford anyway. I think Mercury had a few cars offered in infinite blue last year although they color name was different.

if they had infinite blue GTs, I’d probably be in one by now.

The roads here meet or exceed national standards as far as lane marking and striping go. It’s only the most rural of roads that don’t have the necessary stripes and edge identifiers. The road our subdivision is off of is rural but has all of the requisite markings. What might be different is that there are virtually no paved shoulders once you’re off the very most major roadways.

But... Medical reasons... Rapid Red might be a good color for you. ??

Lane centering may be a seasonal option if you come to the mainland.

For people with long legs.... the seat (and your head) have to be further away from the dash than 'median' bodies. Then, because we can't pull the steering wheel closer, a fair bit of the left and right of the display are obscured by the steering wheel.

I wish I could pull the steering wheel about 3" closer. but I suspect that the ability to adjust fore/aft has been eliminated to protect us from exploding airbags.
I can understand better now considering I'm not very tall, It just seems like you'd have this problem in ANY car considering the spedo is off to the right in most every vehicle. Just the Mach-E has this problem eh?

Well hopefully regardless of how I feel, this post will be the push that makes Ford move towards UI customization considering there is so much debate about the topic. We just have to get Ford to redefine their version of 'soon' and maybe we will see a change within the life of the car.
