I’ve been slightly troubled by Jim Farley’s recent comments about establishing a skunk works team in California to make a “low-cost EV”. That, coupled with the very lame 2024 mid-cycle refresh on the current Mustang Mach-E had me thinking that Ford may be abandoning the “higher end” EV segment and looking to come up with some kind of Fiesta-like EV. My fears seem to be bolstered by Ford’s continuing penchant to decontent vehicles, while not adding any new or innovative features. (For example, notice now they replaced the pretty elegant, smooth front turn signals on the Mustang Mach-E with simple blinkers.)
