How do I transfer Phone as KEY to my NEW phone?

I am getting a new phone and am wondering how it will work or IF it will work in my Mach E. Can I just transfer all apps having to do with Fordpass to my NEW phone and would it work as my old phone did or do I have to DELETE my old phone and start from scratch?

I deleted my old phone and added the new one. Even though I wiped my old phone before returning it, I didn't want it in the car's system after I got rid of it.

You don’t. You delete your old phone in the phone section and any trace of it in the PAAK in the app and in the car. You then pair the new phone and set up PAAK. Did this with new phones for myself and my wife.

Just make sure you have your door code and backup start code handy. I got a new phone this past November and had it set up at Apple. They cleared out my old phone and when we were walking to my car I realized new phone, no PAAK. Used door code and back up start to get going. Had to reinstall PAAK when we got home

I just went through this. You have to create a new phone as key, and delete the old one. You cannot transfer it. This makes sense, since it is linked partially to the Bluetooth hardware address. Use the FordPass app to do this. You are allowed to have only 4 keys (IIRC), you may have to delete the old one first, depending on how many you have already.
