I’m a little confused. According to several articles, the standard 72kw LFP battery is supposed to be ‘up to 150kw’. The window stickers I see around all say 115kw.
Is this an error on the window stickers or am I missing something?
This is in Canada if it makes a difference. 2023 select 72kwh LFP.

Yes the charging speed may have increased since the window sticker was printed.

Note that it says “up to” in either place. In reality, the charge rate will peak early for a very short time then drop into the 90s then drop as State of Charge increases. ?‍♂?

It's also possible InsideEVs missed on that part of the story.

Can you find someplace that Ford states 150kW charging for LFPs?

Interesting. I could chock that one up to a cut and paste mistake as there used to be ER Selects. Id rather see something that is more explicit.
Yeah. For sure. I’ve searched and searched. I don’t see where people that have this battery have shown the charging curved or anything.
I also can’t find any reference to maximum rated charge speed (other than in minutes) on the ford website at all.

When I was looking for my 2023 I noticed that. My conclusion was they upped it to 150kWh when they switched the battery packs to 72kWh LFP's. I also read that LFP's packs charge faster.

Did you end up buying one? What is the highest DCFC you’ve seen on it?

Yeah I bought a 2023 Premium with 72kWh battery pack. The highest I've seen was about 125kW.
Mine showed 150kW charging speed on the window sticker. Mine was built in Oct 2023.

All the early 2023's I saw were the older packs at 70kW and their window stickers said 115KW charging speeds.

Does the charging speed drop above 80% like it does on the earlier modes with the lithium batteries?

Wow, that's odd. I have a 2023 LFP RWD Premium, purchased in the US in October, and it says it'll go to 150kW charging. I looked at a lot of LFP MMEs in the fall, and all of them said 150kW on the sticker. I've only DC charged a few times, but I've seen 130s and 140s once. Screenshot of my sticker attached.

That is what I saw too. Mine never went up that high probably because when I DCFC'd the chargers were only 2 miles from home so no preconditioning.

Pretty sure the 2023 select 72kwh LFP cars can only do 115kw. Have to bump up o the premium car to get the faster charging
