I've now watched 4 different videos (Tom, Kyle, MachE-vlog and some bald guy) and not a single failure. Every single charge worked the 1st time in all 4 videos. #ElectrifyAmerica should be having their walk of shame today!!! Head down and not speaking to any one!! ? ? ?

haha - yeah i think i'm 0 for 4 on EA plug and charge. will be interesting to see if it actually works properly with a supercharger. of course god knows if i will get my adapter. no email but a ford CSR claimed they could see the order (they insisted it was only a "reservation" though)

I had a failure today. Halifax, NC. Charge Assist said the station would work, so did Apple Maps. Station didn’t show up in the Tesla app. Tesla was right. Plug & Charge failed.

You weren’t at a 150kw station? They don’t show on the map. Only 250kw and above work.

if it was this one things are a little confusing. it doesn't show up when you filter tesla's map for "superchargers open to NACS", but on the pricing list it does state "charging fees for other EVs" as though it is open to non-teslas. it claims to be 250KW capable.

I charged at a Magic Dock recently that would only output 34kw. Tesla is not immune to problems.

Will the free KWhs from Ford be applied if you P&C at a Tesla charger with the adaptor?
Lol I was looking for the exact answer. Apparently they’re gonna be under the Ford network but my question was that too now that I’ve gotten a new electric Mustang and I’ve never used any charging stations yet

Its not super obvious, but all Teslas have their charge port on the rear left/driver side. So the existing Superchargers are all setup for the cars to back in and have the cable be just long enough. With the front left/driver side port placement that Ford is currently using, you actually need to park in the adjacent stall to use the SC. This means effectively you are using two stalls for one car.

A lot of comments on the Tesla forums are upset about this, but in the end it is was Tesla's decision to open up the network, and they knew full well this would be an issue. Hopefully everyone can get along out there.

No. Those free kWh only apply to EA stations.
