After 1 3/4 years of working fine, Blue Cruise and adaptive cruise control stopped working the day I drove from San Diego to Phoenix. All I got was regular cruise control. Any ideas of the cause or what I can do to get it back? According to my Ford App I still have over a year left on my original subscription.

Any error messages? What happened when you tried to engage Lane keeping?

There were never any error messages. The one time I hit the lane keeping button nothing seemed to happen.
Hmmm, not sure then. I guess the first thing would be to go into your Sync driver assistance settings and make sure nothing has been turned off accidentally?

Does it show up in connected services in ford pass? Mines at the dealer now because BC not working and it’s not showing up as an option on FP. Also there was a recent update that made BC not work right. The fix is supposed to come out this month

I just got my car Monday and blue Cruise has been working up to today second of March. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I had the original tires put on new rims. I don’t believe that would make a difference because the pressure monitors work and everything but everything else seems to work even adaptive cruise control and lane keeping but I timed it every 19 seconds it tells you to put your hands on the wheel so there must be something going on like I said, I don’t think changing the wheels would need to do with it.

Like I was saying in another reply, mine just stopped working today so I’m hoping maybe there is a fix coming because I looked under connected services and it shows that it’s good till 2027 blue Cruise and it said make sure it’s not disabled to go into connectivity settings, and I couldn’t see anything there that even related to blue Cruise so I’m not sure where the setting would be to disable blue Cruise on an unrelated note because I’m new to this car but I’ve had many cars with the same features not blue cruise but security features my car sits right outside my front door if you leave the keys on the table by the front door, your lights keep coming on and off all night long. I just realize that have to go put the keys in the other room. It was driving me crazy I couldn’t figure out what was going on anyways, anybody gotta fix this let me know.

Well, you were right! I tried hitting lane centering again and Blue Cruise miraculously started working again!! First, I didn’t think I had turned lane centering off, and second, I didn’t know that Blue Cruise would not work if lane centering was off. Thank you so much for your help!

So you’re saying on active cruise Lane centering was on and you turned it off and turned it back on and it started working. I’ll give that a try when I drive it again I saw a guy on the 150 for him. He said he unhook the battery 12 V hooked back up and started working.

Updates can disable lane centering or driver assistance settings. If they don’t work, you need to check your settings in case they may have changed without your knowledge. Also make sure the lane centering button (picture of lanes) is turned on, a lot of people don’t realize that button exists. Both things have to be turned on.

If you see the blue bubble around your car but hands free BlueCruise won’t engage, then you should disconnect the 12V battery to reset stuck modules.

Almost. Active Lane Centering was off for some unknown reason and Blue Cruise did not work. Then I turned Lane Centering on and Blue Cruise started working again.

In my case the blue bubble around the car did not show up, just a blue half-circle line at the front of the car.

The good thing is, I’m a man that admits when you’re wrong about something I take total responsibility and like I said, I’m new to the electric car and I’m new to blue Cruise so here’s my story. So down south in Mississippi. We have a lot of major roads 4 lane, 65 mile an hour they go from the coast all the way to Tennessee, you would think those are blue cruise highways and I swore it worked on that highway one time when I first got the car and after I took the battery off and I heard everything reset I took it for a ride still no hands-free driving so the last place I remember hands-free driving was I 10 heading west towards Florida so I went down to I 10 and headed east towards New Orleans and I went hands-free right away so the lesson learned here is I guess even though the highways look like major thoroughfares, they’re not blue cruise I wish there was a way to find out what was blue Cruise anyways Undo the battery didn’t seem to change any of my settings, so that was good but I did learn how to take off the cover to get to the battery which is not like the guy shows in the video he obviously already had it removed because that is a pain in the ass. It’s kind of scary popping it loose , I would get a I forget the name of the tool but a pry tool for plastic anyways appreciate all the help. I learned the lesson today and hit my head on the hood of the frunk getting the battery. ?Also, in order to disconnect the negative side of the battery just for troubleshooting you only need to remove the cover that has the vents on it. You don’t have to remove that side one that runs all the way down to the front end you can just use a 10 mm socket to get the bolt loose and lift up the terminal and put it back down.
