Walk-up unlock stopped working

Hi - I have a 2021 (January build) Mach-E Premier. Starting about a month ago the car no longer unlocks when I approach. I have checked the settings and turned off the feature and back on - this did not help.

The lights go on when I approach, but the door button is dark. If I press it nothing happens. If I then unlock using the fob, sometimes the button lights up and sometimes the door actually pops open. If I enter the entry code on the door I can then open the door with the button.

The other doors also do not automatically unlock but the tailgate opens on a foot swipe as usual.

Any suggestions?

Head over to this thread and ask the folks there if they can look up any DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) your car might have. That will give you an idea about what the issue might be. Alternatively, if you have a OBD reader and app, you can pull those yourself.

Maybe, uninstall the current PAAK and reinstall it.

if you had the HVBJB recall done recently then it’s possible that one of the antennas connectors was not fully seated. These are the antennas that are on the side mouldings that are removed to install the lifting brackets. They plug in at the front of the front doors behind the foam filler at the back of the front fender. I had the same issue and it didn’t have any codes for them.
