I have some questions regarding cameras, door codes and general security. Does the Mach-E record surroundings if anyone gets close?

No, just for warning you when backing up or getting too close on a side or in front. For recordings, you’ll need to get your own system.I have some questions regarding cameras, door codes and general security. Does the Mach-E record surroundings if anyone gets close?
They called it a range extender at the dealer, but it's simply the bigger battery.Range extender?
I thought the OP just bought an i3.Range extender?
Search can be your friend here. I found this 5 page thread discussing home chargers. Best Charging station to use at homeI just bought the fitcamx and hope the dealer will install it for free. They drove me to another lot, to pick up a car someone transferred. Any advice on home chargers? Or anything else I should get. I'm also planning on getting that sunscreen for the roof. My wife will not like all that light coming in
You just summed up the EV experience in 6 simple paragrahs ? ? ?. We can shut down the Forum now!!1. Mach-E does not have Tesla like sentry or built in event recorders. It also does not have as many cameras as Teslas do.
2. Reserve your NACS adapter so you can eventually use Tesla supercharger. The wait is over 4-5 months now but it’s okay. Get in line.
3. In the meantime you can charge at most non Tesla stations.
4. Home charging is the most convenient way to own an EV. You can get any reputable charger but make absolutely sure that you’re wiring and the 240V Outlet are done properly and professionally. Don’t ever charge more than 80% of the current rating of the outlet. Meaning if the outlet is rated for 50 Amperes, don’t charge at more than 40 Amperes. Power (Watts) = Voltage (volts) x current (amperes). A 40A current would still give you 9.6 Kilo Watts power draw. Battery size is 91 kWh so it can go from 0-100% in less than 10 hours.
5. Try to not go below 10% consistently. Not good for batteries. If your battery is LFP, (ask!) can charge to 100% more frequently but general practice is to charge to 90% for day to day use. Batteries charge the fastest going from nothing to 80% and then they slow down.
6. Winter KILLS the range. Be aware of that. Your range may drop by 40% in winter months. Cold weather is not good for EVs.
Enjoy!
Why would the dealer install an aftermarket accessory for free?I just bought the fitcamx and hope the dealer will install it for free.
I bought an Emporium charger from Amazon and haven't had any problems. If you don't have one, you'll need a 240 outlet. Also, I haven't noticed a lot of light coming in via the roof so, you might want to wait before you buy a sunscreen. Enjoy your new car, Mach-es are so much fun to drive.I just bought the fitcamx and hope the dealer will install it for free. They drove me to another lot, to pick up a car someone transferred. Yeah you would think that you'd be roasting under that glass roof...but nope. It does a very good job of reflecting a lot of light. In fact it's way better than the glass roof panels on my Lightning.I bought an Emporium charger from Amazon and haven't had any problems. If you don't have one, you'll need a 240 outlet. The Mach-E J1772 port maxes out at 32amp. That provides you with 7 point something of kw input. Going larger will only push your input to 8kw.I just bought the fitcamx and hope the dealer will install it for free. They drove me to another lot, to pick up a car someone transferred.
