As I understand it, although the 2023 MMEs are not eligible for the $7,500 tax credit on purchases, they are eligible for the $7,500 if leased, due to a "tax loophole". In their most recent promotion, Ford has essentially chosen to pass this $7,500 through to consumers who lease new 2023 MMEs.
My question is, will the 2024 model year MMEs also have this $7,500 available on leases? I'm not asking whether Ford will pass on the $7,500 savings to consumers (that is anybody's guess). What I am asking is if the "tax loophole" that allows for this to happen on 2023 model year MMEs will still be potentially available for 2024 models, or if the "tax loophole" will be closed once the 2023 models are gone?
