I just tried charging my MME at the Firebaugh Tesla supercharger with no luck. All of my attempts to charge at Tesla superchargers to date have been successful. But I could not connect at this location.

I tried three different chargers and all faulted on me.

Has anybody else tried here successfully or not? The location shows up as ‘in network’ in Ford Pass.

I just looked up Firebaugh on the Tesla app, says “47 of 56 stalls available. NACS DC Adapter Required to Charge.” Looks like it should work, at least the according to the app.

Sorry I couldn’t be more help.

I might reach out to Ford in this.
Thanks for the feedback.

We had a Supercharger Santa Ysabel that wouldn't let us charge with the Ford adapter but the A2Z worked. I think the Tesla connector had some issues and the Ford adapter couldn't lock on.

What error or symptom did you have? Did the Mach-e latch onto the A2Z adapter? Did the charge port lights ever turn blue or did they stay white? Did you try activating via FordPass or Tesla or Public Charging?

In every attempt the Ford Pass app said it was activated, I could hear it latch, the lights turned solid blue, then about a minute or two later the lights turned red then back to solid blue. Dash board said something like ‘charging station fault.’

I tried three different chargers, three times each. All with the same result.

Also, I moved to completely separate areas/banks of chargers each time. I tried charger numbers: 2c, 9c, 14a.

Did you try using Charge Assist / Public Charging to determine if the location is on Ford's list ?

The problem was the adapter wasn't fully locked. The A2Z adapter is known to be tight for the first dozen or so uses. After that it will fit better and fully latch easier.

I was aware of this issue and that adapter had worked at five other locations prior to Firebaugh.

Furthermore it made the lock sound successfully on every attempt.

I think the site was not working for non Tesla cars that day. But it worked on my return trip. All good.

Is there a better way to "loosen" the r adapter up? I just started using mine today and it won't latch. It is definitely a tight enough fit the bottom slider won't engage.
