I’m trying to figure out Why the coach has stopped working? I’ve got it enabled, and It was at one point working fine, when I’d let the Pedal it would display down in the lower left-hand corner below the range. But lately, no matter how much I let off the battle and let it come to a complete stop. It doesn’t show up anymore. I don’t know if anybody’s seen this? Not a big deal, I like the feature to work when it’s supposed to.

I only see the brake coach in Engage. Never see it in Whisper or Unbridled...so maybe that is it?
OK, I’ll give that a shot when I get back into the car in about 10 minutes thanks

Yup, Engage is the only drive mode the brake coach works in. It also has to be enabled in the settings.
Thanks for confirming that general, I do have it turned on for sure. The engaged mode is the issue. I guess I always leave it in whisper.

Yeah, I discovered this just recently, too. I always had it in Whisper mode since I got the car and had never seen the brake coach. I wondered about it, but not enough to dig into it. I decided to try driving in Engage about two weeks ago, and there it was!

And of course you probably realize this but it is not an actual measurement - just synthetic. You will get the same results in N where there is no regen.

Well, at least I’m getting the pop-up again drove all the way from the Air Force Base to home in the engage mode. I didn’t seem to lose any kilowatt hours average about 2.8. 80° out today

What is it that people like about Whisper mode?

I’ve have been using Engage mode (one pedal) most since I got my GTPE last month.

I guess I kind of looked at it as the Eco mode on a gas powered car. Plus, if it does improve or soften the ride a little bit whatever they’re saying a little less aggressive for my wife that’s why, but I kinda look at it as the Eco mode, am I getting better mileage in the whisper mode I don’t know?

In a GT-PE it softens up the dampers, giving a softer ride. It also increases steering assist, increases the aggressiveness of off-throttle regeneration, and changes the throttle mapping on all models. Personally, I think my car is still too soft and has too much assist I would like to mess with the regenerative braking independent of drive mode too. I don’t care about throttle mapping. Full throttle is full throttle in any drive mode. ?‍♂?

I get the other points. But my GTPE does not “increase the aggressiveness of off-throttle regeneration” in Whisper mode as compared to Engage.

Have seen this mentioned several times, but is very evident that I need to use brakes in Whisper when approaching a traffic light rather than letting regeneration to the work in Engage (one pedal) mode.

I think people get confused about this if they use 1PD.

Put it in 2PD and turn whisper on and you see that off throttle it just coasts (no regen).

So in one pedal, I feel the regeneration in whisper mode when I let off the pedal. When I put it in engage, that’s when I actually see the regeneration or rather the coach coming up saying hundred percent regenerated. Question I got when you let off the pedal in whispered, and you feel it regenerating are you getting the same regeneration in whisper or do you get more in engage?
