Ford Mustang Mach-E Introducing the 2024 Mustang Mach-E Lineup All-Electric Mustang Mach-E Rally_03

Hi owners! We’re excited to share details of the 2024 Mustang Mach-E lineup and – including the all-new Mustang Mach-E GTTM Performance Upgrade.

Performance Upgrade

The Performance Upgrade takes 2024 Mustang Mach-E from 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, that’s 1.6 seconds faster than the Porsche Macan 4 Electric and 0.2 seconds faster than the Tesla Model Y Performance. Plus as a direct result of customer feedback, it can now crack the quarter mile in 11.8 seconds at 114mph with this upgrade.

The Performance Upgrade comes standard on the new Mustang Mach-E Rally and is an optional upgrade for the 2024 Mustang Mach-E GT. New Mustang Mach-E GT customers can select the one-time Performance Upgrade at vehicle purchase or they'll have the option to purchase the upgrade and enable it seamlessly at a later date. Customers also have the option to bundle the Performance Upgrade with optional wheels, tires, or Bronze Appearance Package.

The Performance Upgrade will be first available on the 2024 Mustang Mach-E GT because it is built with the required hardware to enable the performance improvements.

More Range

We’ve improved the range of each model compared to the first 2021 model year of Mustang Mach-E – Select and Premium range is up 20 miles with GT up by 10 miles of range.

Faster Charge Times
The 2024 Mustang Mach-E with available extended range battery charges almost 20% faster with DC fast charging than previous models since launched in 2019, enabling drivers to charge from 10%-80% in approximately 36.2 minutes and get back on the road – that's 8.8 minutes faster than previous models.

New Packages
The wait is over for the highly anticipated GT Bronze Appearance Package & the Mustang Mach-E Rally

Two new colors are available for 2024 Mach-E: Eruption Green and Glacier Gray Metallic. Space White Metallic and Carbonized Gray are no longer available color options for the 2024 Mustang Mach-E.

Standard Performance features on GT
We saw a high take rate of the GT Performance Edition, so we simplified the lineup and made key content standard for the 24MY GT, including the Ford Performance front seats and Performance Gray interior, MagneRide Damping System, and Brembo branded front brake calipers.

Standard Steel Roof
Premium and GT now come standard with a body color steel roof, with the previously standard panoramic glass roof being an available option.

Nice consolidation of features and general improvements in the new lineup! Will any of the range or charge speed improvements be coming to prior model years via OTA updates, or are these changes related to hardware?

I wonder if it already has? Anecdotally, I saw 25-80% in a shade under 30 minutes last year, and it's plausible that the extra 15% at the bottom of the curve could be done in ~7 minutes at 110-120kW. Hope I'm wrong and we all get a bit of a boost OTA, but we're already not far off that mark. The language in that promise indicates 20% faster than the original curve, which has already been updated at least once OTA.

Great update on the 24 GT Performance. Now, add ventilated seats, update to the new Infotainment / Android Automative system, and add the NACS port and I'll upgrade my '21 GT :)

I’m looking forward to seeing the new model GT. As a performance junkie with a a little racing experience, I am hoping to see some of the added performance filter down to us who already own GTs. ??

Oyi! Lack of 18 inch wheels will sting a bit.

Ford should in good faith, extend this performance upgrade, which is really just software, to current owners of GT GTPE. We have stood behind this car and model through HVJB failures, bad dealership experiences, glass recalls, significant depreciation, and months of our cars in the shop. To make a performance upgrade only for the 24 year is a bit of a slap in the face, especially since Darren Palmer stated they would relax the limiters via OTA in a public interview.

Because current hardware seems to perform flawlessly.

That bronze package is awesome! Nice to see incremental range / charging / performance improvements just 3 years into the cycle.

There are a few issues here, not the least of which is new hardware for the 2024 model. I’m pretty sure that max output is higher with the new hardware than with the existing hardware. ??

I don’t see extending the limit as being negated by this, but the mix of LK9Z-10C666-B and LK9Z-10C666-C parts, plus the unknown HVBJB part in the 2024 GT and Rally makes extending the limit on a 2021-2023 model GT a bit iffy. Based on reports on the forum, a GT with a -A part is already stressing its HVBJB at 5 seconds (mine blew up with 3/4 throttle). A -B is still being stressed at 5 seconds, just somewhat less. The -C part has been in circulation for just under half a year, so we don’t know how badly 5 seconds messes with it. Hopefully, the -C part and whatever is in the 2024 will be able to take the stress of the projected 8-9 second limit. We shall see. ?‍♂?

With an EV there are no carb certification issues to deal with, if the performance upgrade is dependent on a host of new parts then if Ford have any sense then they would sell it as a performance ford upgrade, while not cheap for those that are after performance it would still be cheaper than taking a massive hit on an existing GT/GTPE and getting a new 2024 and more likely that Ford will retain those people as customers further down the line as the upgrade is really what the GT/GTPE should have been to being with rather than some next level improvement.

I'm wondering if we can get the rally grill with fog lights for older models.
Not that the lights are bad on mine, I just like more lights!
