Last month, Ford decided to lower prices on the Mach-E again. I had been looking into an electric vehicle for my car since it is basically a commuter. I really wasn't sure I wanted to get one now because we just had to buy a car for the wife.

So, I decided to just go drive one at the local Ford dealership and see what kind of deal I could get. I was also looking other EVs, but had never driven a Mach-E. I sat in one once and it felt really nice. I sat in a Kia EV6, and the roof line was very close to my head. No problem like that with the Mach-E.

I wanted a GT. I skipped out on a fast car last time to save gas, so I wanted to splurge. They had 3 GTs on the lot. Black, white, and the carbonized grey. I've done black, don't like white, and so the grey it is. It actually looked pretty sharp. Took it for 2 different drives in different modes. Put about 20 miles on it. It was a blast. Some might say the non magnaride is harsh, but I'm used to a stiff suspension. A little bouncy sometimes but not bad at all.

It was so soon that they didn't even have the new pricing available, so I came back the next day.

Sufficed to say, I decided to pull the trigger. Don't know if I could get any better deal right now or in the future. Decided to go with the 0% financing. Basically was around the same price per month as a lease, which surprised me. I'll take free money. I think I got it down to around 50K, then tax, title, and everything else brought it up a bit.

Now I'm looking for accessories to purchase. Need some floor mats and other interior goodies. Debating on genuine Ford ones (like the logo on them) or weatherteck like I have in my Mazda3. Also looking at some Rokblokz mud flaps like I have on my Mazda3 as well.

Now, what you are all here for, pics or it didn't happen!

Congrats on the new GT!

As far as accessories go, I highly recommend the RokBlokz splash guards. I have the rally style flaps on my Subaru, but the Mach-E won't likely see off-road so I went with the more subtle option.

Also, I recommend TuxMat floor mats. I've always been a WeatherTech guy, but I decided to try out TuxMats and I don't regret it! Installation is a little more involved, but the coverage and look is far superior to other all-weather floor mat options, IMHO.

Thanks for mentioning Tuxmat.
I had assumed the Mach-E was too niche for Tuxmat to bother.

I have put them in several vehicles and am a converted previous loyal Husky/Weathertech customer. Great product and have never had an issue with any of the mats.

Ordered!

Sorry for the sorta hijack. :)

Congrats on your new Mach-E! We'd love to see some more pictures along the way once you start adding your accessories.

those mudflaps look great, any drilling needed to fit?

Thanks! Nope, no drilling necessary. You just need to remove 2-3 plastic clips per corner. RokBlokz provides all the hardware needed to install!

Congrats on the new GT. Several members use the Rokblox guards. They are great for wider than stock wheels and tires (considering swapping my AOSK set for them since I recently went with 20x9.5” rims and 275/40R20 tires). I went with 3D Maxpider floor mats. The Tuxmats are great also. First mod I did to my MME was a 15” rear wiper blade (Trico 15-G). Huge improvement. I have since swapped that to a 16” Bosch A401. ??

+1 on the Bosch A401. A longer rear wiper is definitely a must!

LOL I still have the original 12” blade since I swapped blades before I test drove my car. ??

Thanks for the info everyone. I forgot about the rear wiper. I do need to get that too. Where is the best place to get those?

I'm also partial to the rally style mud flaps, although the splash guards also look nice. I got the rally style on my Mazda3 and they have held up nicely for 10+ years.

I'll have to look into Tuxmats. They look nice, but a bit more than necessary. Although, being in MN, I do like extra protection from salt and stuff.

May I piggyback and confirm that the Bosch A401H is the one being recommended?
Yes, I forgot the letter suffix. Either the Bosch A401H or the Trico 15-G is a huge upgrade. The Trico is more flexible, so it wipes a slightly wider path on the rear window due to the window’s curvature. The Bosch is a little longer, so it wipes 1/2” higher. The reason I switched to the Bosch was that my rear dash camera is mounted to the top of the lift gate, but the wiper still doesn’t clear all the way up to it. ?‍♂?
