Funny, I had my first "Not A Mustang" encounter last week with a guy wearing a "Fox Body Owners Club" hoodie. Claimed the Mach-E was a compliance car, built only to satisfy the Government, etc etc etc.

I came really close to saying "So, you like slow Mustangs? Cool..." but only because he seemed pretty closed-minded and I like to stir the pot

And full disclosure, I would have *loved* a Fox body 5.0 back in the day, all my buddies wanted one.

I am a Fox Body guy myself I have had two SVO Mustangs and loved both of them. I like the Mach E GTPE because I can drive it every day in comfort and style. I also have a 2024 Dark Horse and it is extremely nice bit it is work to drive unlike the Mach E

It was a lot of fun and we got ride-alongs in the Mach-E 1400 and a couple of Mach-E GTs (plus a Dark Horse)!

I remember fondly my 1979 2.3L turbo with TRX tires and that oddball notchback trunk (not a hatchback). I sometimes wonder what became of it……

I always thought the TRX Tires were cool. There were several cars there that had them OEM but they all had a look alike wheel that was not the P Metric size.

Well, all I can say is thank heavens! If the Mach-E presence at the Charlotte Speedway had been less than adequate, I just don't know whether I could have found the strength to carry on.

At 13:24 somehow I knew that Mach E 1400 would disappear like Batman in that thick cloud. That made me so happy.

Well, all I can say is thank heavens! If the Mach-E presence at the Charlotte Speedway had been less than adequate, I just don't know whether I could have found the strength to carry on.

I'd say it is notable that the Mach-E had a large presence at the Mustang's 60th birthday. It shows that Ford is committed to the Mustang branding and it was great to see traditional Mustang owners get exposed to the Mach-E. They had several Mach-Es on display in two different areas plus they had the GT PE ride-alongs and the Mach-E 1400 rides. To be honest, I half expected to just see maybe one Mach-E tucked away in some corner of the event, but this was way more.
