HomeFlex here. Garage w nema plug. Only issues is mine trips breaker randomly, but not often enough that it’s an issue for me. Got a rebate- maybe two- on mine.

Now looking at Enphase since I now have solar w Enphase inverters. I looked up and am in a tract for the federal tax credit.
I am in the same situation with home flex and solar with emphase inverters. I don’t have tripping problems but I’m curious why the interest in switching? Is it solely just because of the tripping issue?

One would expect SS relays at this point in time.
SS relays don't click but this one does. I think normally for safety you'll want galvanic isolation of a relay or contactor. Plus MOSFETs typically fail shorted.

I'll take your word for it. I'm not an EE, but that's not what I would expect. Electromechanical products seem destined to fail.

For efficiency with solar output. From what I read and understand the Enphase IQ used with compatible inverters can variably manage power delivery based on the excess solar. I pay a peak rate 12p - 8p. Today I manually adjusted my HomeFlex setting as my solar output changed. I’m in a semi rural tract so will qualify for the 30% credit. So it may pay for itself.

A bit off-topic, but I am quite interested in adding solar to my 10.82 acre homestead here in Suwannee county. Links to getting started would be much appreciated. My problem is the unreliability of our grid here. Any big storm (not just major) and I lose power for several hours. A major storm, like a hurricane, and I could lose power for days. I want to use the grid as my back up, and not my primary supply of power here.

There's a lot of info out there, including how to DIY. Even if you don't DIY I found those sites educational. I'd Google your area for your area installers and check them out. And also get a general sense of what some comparable properties are doing in your region. One installer called me back once so they got cut. Another I liked and they seemed to have a good process, but I ended up using a different one recommended by a friend. They seemed better at understanding my property than the other when it came to choosing equipment.

My install went up last April following my roof replacement. 2 acres due South facing roofline with a great angle. 8.8kW system. I don't have significant grid issues so passed on batteries but can add on if I choose. You may find them worth the investment. Depending on your terrain, at 10 acres, you may not be restricted to roof mount if your roofline is not optimum. An installer can help with that, and there are some calculators out there, too, to estimate your location.

Thanks. Links to pics of your setup?

22 400w Panasonic w enphase iq8m inverters. Controller mounted on side of house next to meter. My power curve doesn’t have much tail because I have trees east and west. But when clears it reaches max pretty quickly.

I’m looking for a charger in the realm of $399. Costco has the juicebox 40 at that price and there is grizzl-e smart, emporia, and eviqo.

I have the Ford mobile charger, but what is pretty important to me is to understand the cost of the charge. I have no idea what this is costing me. (Huge opportunity for the ford app to add kWh tracking and more.)

Any recommendations based off of the above? Any other chargers that work well with the Mach-E that I should consider?

I really want something that will not be abandoned by its developers and gets frequent releases and enhancements.

And I would love some sort of reminder if possible, if I forgot to charge my vehicle and it’s at a certain level (ie 40%)

you guys are pretty awesome thus far with the information sharing. Would appreciate any guidance.

I paid $479 for my Autel that shows the session and monthly cost. Mine shows that it is charging at 46.5 and 11.2 kwh. I have had no problems with it.

Before unplugging, FordPass will show exact kWh received. Divide by 0.9 to account for loss.

I got a nice surprise. Emporia responded to me this afternoon that they have updated my EV Charger firmware OTA and that I shouldn't have the charge fault problem anymore. I checked my unit and indeed it was updated to 557. We'll see how it goes.
When I informed Emporia that the fault still happens even after the firmware update, they immediately offered to replace my unit. It will arrive today and I should be able to install it this weekend and test it. They did say they want my current unit back for investigation. So if the new one works, then it was likely faulty hardware. We'll see.
