Mine was delayed only the first time from May to June. At this point, “news” of any further delays is just speculation. While it is expected that another delay is likely due to the recent events, nobody outside of Tesla has any clue about it. ?‍?

I agree that not everyone will be delayed and some will receive their adapters based on their estimates.

This order was placed on March 2nd, 2024 which is pretty early on and is currently showing an estimate of August for delivery.


April and May unshipped orders moved to June.

No updates on orders past May. They might move the estimates when they get to closer to ship date.


I do appreciate the estimated delivery date so I can make plans for Summer road trips.

I think that the best odds would be someone inside Tesla, but you re likely correct. The recent upheaval in personnel likely has messed with my assumption. ??

Conjecture on my part: Tesla’s contract manufacturer has likely been making the adapters a least up until the upheaval, and likely for at least a day or two after. The hope on my part is that the CM is under contract to deliver X number of items at Y date, so the CM is still endeavoring to deliver on time, since while Elon seems to break promises and contracts with aplomb, nobody wants to break their contracts with Tesla. ??

Last I heard the adapters were being made at the Buffalo plant. It had the same cutbacks as elsewhere, somewhere north of 10% and probably closer to 20% by now.

Guess GM made the manufacturer a better offer.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Musk personally told the adapter manufacturer to spread them around between Ford and the others, rather than sending them all to Ford just because they were first in.

When mine was pushed out to September I ordered the A2Z. I have it now and ready for summer road trips.

My adapter's estimated delivery date is unchanged for June.
