Um, folks I would expect another delay email. I just read an article on Insideevs, and they mentioned because all of Tesla's supercharger team was let go, the automakers no longer have their point of contact at Tesla.

It's possible. But I don't think the Tesla supercharger team makes these adapters in house. It's probably outsourced to a 3rd party mfg.

Some of the Supercharger servicing team, which manages third-party access to the network, remains intact, according to one of the people. Tesla has been building CCS-to-NACS adapters in Buffalo, New York, and shipping them to partnering carmakers. Companies that have signed charging contracts with Tesla are mostly using the adapters as a short-term fix. For example, Ford EV customers can use the Supercharger network with an adapter now, and the technology will be built into the vehicles beginning in 2025.

I assume ... but I mean, given the news of this week, and how Twitter fired people without severance (Edit: even though with specific contracts guaranteeing them severance) and refused to pay vendors after Elon took over, I don't think it's wise to assume Tesla will honor any agreement.

Contracts mean nothing to that guy. We've seen enough evidence to say that with confidence.

Really glad I got my A2Z adapter. I was originally scheduled for July delivery, and who knows now.

One thing Mr Musk does do, is guarantee full and frenzied employment for lawyers representing the company, both in house and outside. His personal counsel is, I’m sure, kept hopping too.

I got bumped from May to June as well. But at least they were communicative about it! I certainly wish they would communicate the same way about other things, like the BC 1.4 rollout delays... But I'm not going to bash Ford for this one, since it is certainly not within their power to make it move any faster...

I'm guessing all the original reservation status links are expiring. They are probably good for 30 days. Thankfully, (I guess) If you got that message about your adapter being delayed, that link still works!

I just tested my link from email March 1st. Works just fine still.

Here is the first notice I’ve seen of order OEM TESLA Supercharger adapter for Ford being delayed till August.

Looks like we can expect our free adapter after Summer road trip season has ended and kids are back in school.


I do appreciate the estimated delivery date so I can make plans for Summer road trips.
