Are you in Europe? Cause I don’t have a plate in my app.

Regardless, I don’t see this ever becoming a possibility in the US. They’ll never get the plate design right with all the variations that exist, and how often some of these things change.

I am in Us, regardless, you dont need whole design @Ford Motor Company can just add the number plate details instead of “Mach-E” generic name

OK that’s odd, don’t see any plates on mine, even though front plates are required here. I assumed EU mainly because that plate design is not American, and even after updating the app I still don’t have a plate.

Strange. Is there a setting to toggle? Or maybe just a discrepancy between iOS and Android (iPhone here)?

Ah OK that makes sense! Well yeah, in that case they could do better than just have a generic “Mach E” plate on EU vehicles.

Personally I prefer the plateless look, but I’m not against user choice either .

At the same time, I do think it does add complexity, since VIN, color, body style, etc., is established during production, and plates can change any time.

I’d rather Ford spent their software development efforts on something else. Like making the app more reliable or the watch app faster to respond.

This is a cool idea, but I think you might get more support if we could customize the dash some. That's a real world use and one lots of folks would get behind. What ya think @Ford Motor Company

I am pitching this because it’s simply few lines of extra code and messing up doesn’t mean nothing. But if done right its such a cool idea.

So @Ford Motor Company are more likely to do that!

Unless you are employed by the Ford software team, and contributing actual lines of code to the app, I do not think you are qualified to say anything in FordPass is "simply a few lines of extra code".

You don’t necessarily need to work for @Ford Motor Company on fordpass to know that. I understand where you are coming from, but trust me it’s nothing too complicated or failing doesn’t mean fatal. And its really small compared to something like a dash customization (I would to have it, but its highly unlikely for them to do it)

I’d prefer they focused on other things. I don’t see my state license plate listed anywhere in my account. That’s because the state DMV doesn’t share that info with car manufacturers. The database that ties your VIN to your Plate isn’t accessible by Ford. It would have to be a manual entry.
