I'm realizing today that I no longer have the ability to lock my Mach-E by using the physical "button" on the B pillar. I'm also not able to unlock by just pressing the door open button since the new Ford Pass Update. The app lock/unlock controls work fine and the car recognizes PaaK for the ignition button. Also the walk away auto lock feature doesn't work any longer. Is this a bug or a cut feature?

The buttons on the B-pillar and on the C-pillar are hit and miss for me, as is the 7-8 and 9-0 combination on the keypad. I often have to open the door and hit the lock button or use the lock button in the FP app. This behavior has been present since Day 1 with the car. ?‍♂?

I have had very few problems with the FordPass PaaK trying to open the doors. Sometimes it’s slower than I would like, but it rarely fails and hasn’t changed since the 5.0 update. ??

Did you try quitting the app rebooting your phone yet?
Clearing cache, force closing the app and rebooting the phone seems to have resolved the issue. Thanks for the suggestion!

It's funny, I'm usually the one telling my family and friends to reboot (insert tech device here) as the first step in trouble shooting an issue. Guess I should practice what I preach :ROFLMAO:.

Update:

So, after seemingly having resolved the issue, my lock and unlock functions have decided they don't want to work again.

I went around the vehicle and tried every door lock and door button. I made sure my Fordpass app was open and Bluetooth was on. All the in-app functions, including lock and unlock, work just fine. Also, I know the car can detect my phone because PaaK works 100% of the time to start and drive the car.?‍♂

Also, where did they hide the option to toggle the walk away auto lock feature on and off? I forget, is that option in the car settings or was it in the app?

Do the Bluetooth functions work like rolling down the windows? Lock/unlock is cellular.

So, it's got to be a Bluetooth connectivity issue. It's intermittent, but more often than not now, the Bluetooth functions don't work. Yesterday was the first time ever that my car didn't see my PaaK when I tried to start it. It also happened again this morning. Today I tried to unlock/open my door with my phone out and it the car wouldn't detect PaaK. I shut Bluetooth off, then back on again and the door button worked. Weird thing is, it seems to be getting progressively worse as the days pass. Not only that, but I don't recall having any issues before the 5.0 update.

For some reason, FP 5 has trouble on a small number of phones. Sometimes the other Bluetooth connections on your phone disrupt the PAAK connection. One suggestion is to delete all the bluetooth connections on your phone except the two for the Mach-E and see if that improves things.
