2023 job1 bluecruise trial period

lol. Okay, fair question. Of course, this is the internet and the internet knows everything.

Seriously, though, there are people on these forums who DO know or at least have a very good idea. There are also many posts here (and elsewhere) implying that Job 1 2023's get a 3 year trial, and job 2 2023's get a 90 day trial. I was hoping someone would response who actually does know.

It's kind of like when someone posts "how do I change the the overhead lights in my car?" -- you'll get 2 responses from people who actually know, 2 responses from people who think they know, but really don't, and at least 1 response from someone who doesn't have a clue, but replies anyway.

I have found comments from other Job 1 2023 buyers who reference getting one year of BlueCruise but nothing definitive.

The window sticker for my MME GTPE shows it has BC 1.2 with no mention of a trial. My expectation is that it is not a trial or subscription. When I login to Ford/myaccount shows it will expire on 03/01/27. One of the reasons I chose an older Job 1 car was BlueCruise without a trial. I believe I may have to challenge Ford on any BlueCruise expiration date.

I don't think subscription trials get an asterisk on the Monroney.

It sounds like only Ford knows for certain, and if you're thinking it's maybe a bait & switch, it doesn't matter. I bought my MME Prem., built 9/23, and got a 3-mo. Trial Period.

The 3-year Blue Cruise 'option' is definitely listed in the options section (lower left) of the window stickers. I have seen it on several models I have looked at. If there is nothing listed there about the 3-years, then it is simply BC trial. (Not sure how long that is)

It might be an interesting argument. It's certainly enough that a customer could have a reasonable expectation. The sticker is supposed to document all the equipment installed in the vehicle and it's reasonable for a consumer to expect that equipment to be functional without additional money. That IS the purpose of the Automobile Information Disclosure Act of 1958.

Of course, I'm no lawyer and I really have no desire to get into a pissing contest with lawyers.

That's a 2023 job 2. For those builds, the sticker is clear that there's a limited length of service for the feature. For job 1, it just says "Bluecruise 1.2" with no time limits..

My window sticker shows BlueCruise 1.2 in the top section under where it says "STANDARD EQUIPMENT INCLUDED AT NO EXTRA CHARGE". Seems pretty clear to me. Charging for BC 1.2 at any time in the future would be no different than charging for the other equipment such as drive modes/1 pedal drive, Wireless charging pad or others listed as included as standard equipment.

A bet some class action lawyer could make a significant amount of money from this. Damn shame that us customers would just get screwed. If we were lucky, we'd get an extra year of free service (but never see an OTA again.)

If that is what is listed on yours, you have the modem and it won't disappear after 3 years.
