It not clear to me if cars with 1.3 are in customer hands yet or not, but I know you YouTubers have used it and I would assume auto journalists as well.

Does anyone know if there is now an audible alert when hands-free mode turns off and you need to put your hands back on the wheel?

I know Ford says there are far fewer disengagements but the fact you only get a visual change to tell you your hands are now required has always seemed ver odd.

I thought that might be it. Thanks.

My 23.0 Premium (with BC 1.2) gives an audible warning when it wants your hands back on the wheel.

It works the same as before. You get the visual indication of the cluster turning back to white background with no sound, but if you ignore that for 5 seconds it will start chiming at you to put your hands back on in an increasingly urgent fashion.

1.3 has less dropouts on curves. There are still curves and straight areas with dropouts however.

I’m looking forward to the less dropouts, though they’ve never been a big issue for me.

I understand the increasing desperation steps if the driver isn’t hands on, but I was hoping for a pleasant little sound or beep when hands free has to disengage due to the road.

I saw in another thread 1.3 is just starting to roll out for some EA members. I was wondering if anyone had updates on when that might start earlier today.

Back to my waiting game.

It already started, some 2022s have it as of today. It has not been released for 2021s yet.
